Claims (6)
- 燃料極と酸化剤極との間に電解質膜を挟持させてなるセルを複数積層した燃料電池スタックと、
前記燃料極に燃料ガスを供給する燃料供給手段と、
前記燃料極から排出された燃料ガスを再度燃料極へ循環させる燃料循環経路と、
燃料循環経路内のガスを圧送する燃料循環手段と、
前記燃料循環経路から不純物を含む燃料ガスを系外へ排出する排出手段と、
前記酸化剤極に酸化剤ガスを供給する酸化剤供給手段と、
前記燃料電池スタックから電流を取り出す電流取出手段と、
前記燃料供給手段及び前記酸化剤供給手段によるガス供給、前記燃料循環手段による燃料循環、前記排出手段によるガス排出、並びに前記電流取出手段による電流取出を制御する制御手段と、
を備えた燃料電池システムにおいて、
前記制御手段は、燃料電池システムの起動時に、まず前記排出手段を閉止した状態で前記燃料循環手段を起動して、前記燃料電池スタックを構成する各セルの燃料極へ燃料ガス循環量が均等に分配されるような前記燃料循環手段の回転速度で前記燃料極と燃料循環経路との間のガス循環を行わせ、次いで、前記電流取出手段により前記燃料電池スタックから電流を取り出して燃料電池スタックの電圧を制限しながら前記燃料極へ燃料ガスを供給して燃料極内の酸素を消費させ、その後、前記酸化剤極に酸化剤ガスを供給することを特徴とする燃料電池システム。 - 前記燃料循環手段による各セルの循環量が均等に分配される回転速度を第1所定時間維持した後に、前記燃料供給手段から燃料ガスの供給を開始することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記燃料電池スタックのセル毎の電圧を検出するセル電圧検出手段を備え、
燃料極内に水素が残存している場合、前記セル電圧検出手段により検出したセル電圧のバラツキが所定以内となるように、前記燃料循環手段の回転速度を調整することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記セル電圧のバラツキが所定以内となってから、第2所定時間経過した後に、前記燃料供給手段から燃料極へ燃料ガスの供給を開始することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記燃料電池スタックのセル毎の電圧を検出するセル電圧検出手段を備え、
燃料極内に水素が残存している場合、前記燃料電池スタックの燃料ガス入口側のセル電圧と燃料ガス出口側のセル電圧との差が所定値以内となるように、前記燃料循環手段の回転速度を調整することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 前記燃料電池スタックの燃料ガス入口側のセル電圧と、燃料ガス出口側のセル電圧との差が所定値以内となってから、第3所定時間経過後に、前記燃料供給手段から燃料極へ燃料ガスの供給を開始することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の燃料電池システム。
