Claims (4)
- 反射性ストリップと不透明なストリップを交互に有するコードスケール(34,81,91)と、
光を生成し、生成された光を前記コードスケールへと導く光源(32,62)と、前記コードスケールからの反射光を受け取り、前記反射光における所定方向の直線偏光を有する光の強度を示す信号を生成する光検出器(33,63)とを含むエミッタ/ディテクタモジュール(35,65,85,95)と
を含み、前記光源と前記光検出器(33,63)は透明媒体の中に封入され、前記透明媒体と前記コードスケール(34,81,91)との間に隙間が設けられ、
前記所定方向は、前記光検出器(33,63)によって受信された、前記透明媒体と前記隙間の間の境界から反射された光の強度を低減するように選択される、反射型エンコーダ(60,80,90)。 - 前記光検出器は直線偏光フィルタを含む、請求項1に記載の反射型エンコーダ。
- 前記光源は、前記所定方向に対して直交する偏光を持つ直線偏光の光を生成する、請求項1に記載の反射型エンコーダ。
- 前記透明媒体から出力される光の偏光を90度だけ回転させる偏光回転器を更に含み、前記偏光回転器は前記隙間に配置される、請求項3に記載の反射型エンコーダ。
