Description
Claims (13)
- 送受信機に結合された電力管理コントローラを有する電力管理モジュールと、
前記電力管理モジュールに結合されており、通信サブシステムおよび演算サブシステムを有する電力管理対象システムと
を備え、
前記電力管理コントローラは、前記通信サブシステムおよび前記演算サブシステムを高電力状態から低電力状態に切り替えてエネルギーを節約し、
前記通信サブシステムは、
前記送受信機と、
前記送受信機に結合されており、通信アイドル期間中であって、前記通信サブシステムが低電力状態である場合において、前記送受信機から受信した情報パケットを格納する低電力状態用のバッファと、
前記バッファに結合されており、可変受信しきい値を生成するウォーターマーク生成器と、
前記バッファおよび前記ウォーターマーク生成器に結合されており、可変受信しきい値に基づいて、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送し、前記電力管理コントローラから、エネルギー測定パラメータを含む電力管理メッセージを受信して、前記エネルギー測定パラメータに基づいて前記送受信機の通信レートを調整する要求を送信するバッファマネージャと
を有し、
前記バッファマネージャは、通信アイドル期間パラメータが通信アイドル期間しきい値よりも低い場合に、前記バッファをディセーブルして、前記バッファが前記情報パケットを格納しないようにする装置。 - 前記バッファマネージャは、前記バッファに格納されている情報パケットの数が可変受信しきい値を超えた場合に、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ウォーターマーク生成器は、受信データレートパラメータ、バッファサイズパラメータ、または、通信再開レイテンシパラメータに基づいて、前記可変受信しきい値を生成する請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記バッファマネージャに結合されているバッファタイマ
を備え、
前記バッファタイマには、バッファアンロードタイムアウト値が設定されており、前記バッファマネージャは、前記バッファに格納されているパケットの数が前記可変受信しきい値を超える前に、前記バッファアンロードタイムアウト値が終了した場合に、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 - 前記バッファマネージャは、前記バッファに格納されているパケットの数が前記可変受信しきい値を超える前に、バッファアンロードイベント信号を受信した場合に、前記バッファアンロードイベント信号に応じて、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記バッファマネージャは、バッファサイズパラメータに基づいて、前記送受信機の通信レートを調整する要求を送信する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 送受信機に結合された電力管理コントローラを有する電力管理モジュールと、
前記電力管理モジュールに結合されており、通信サブシステムおよび演算サブシステムを有する電力管理対象システムと
を備え、
前記電力管理コントローラは、前記通信サブシステムおよび前記演算サブシステムを高電力状態から低電力状態に切り替えてエネルギーを節約し、
前記通信サブシステムは、
前記送受信機と、
前記送受信機に結合されており、通信アイドル期間中において前記送受信機から受信した情報パケットを格納するバッファと、
前記バッファに結合されており、可変受信しきい値を生成するウォーターマーク生成器と、
前記バッファおよび前記ウォーターマーク生成器に結合されており、可変受信しきい値に基づいて、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送し、前記電力管理コントローラから、エネルギー測定パラメータを含む電力管理メッセージを受信して、前記エネルギー測定パラメータに基づいて前記送受信機の通信レートを調整する要求を送信するバッファマネージャと
を有し、
前記バッファマネージャは、前記バッファ内のパケット数がパケットしきい値に等しくない場合にイベントカウンタをリセットし、前記パケットしきい値に等しい場合に前記イベントカウンタをインクリメントし、前記イベントカウンタがイベントしきい値以上である場合に、前記バッファをディセーブルする装置。 - 通信サブシステムおよび演算サブシステムの電力状態を、高電力状態から低電力状態へと変更する段階と、
通信アイドル期間中であって、前記通信サブシステムが低電力状態である場合において、前記通信サブシステムの低電力状態用のバッファに、前記通信サブシステムが送受信機から受信した情報パケットを格納する段階と、
通信アイドル期間パラメータが通信アイドル期間しきい値よりも低い場合、前記バッファをディセーブルして、前記バッファが前記情報パケットを格納しないようにする段階と、
前記バッファの可変受信しきい値を生成する段階と、
可変受信しきい値に基づいて、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する段階と、
エネルギー測定パラメータを含む電力管理メッセージを受信する段階と、
前記エネルギー測定パラメータに基づいて通信レートを調整する要求を送信する段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記バッファに格納されている情報パケットの数が前記可変受信しきい値を超えた場合に、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する段階を備える請求項8に記載の方法。
- 受信データレートパラメータ、バッファサイズパラメータ、または、通信再開レイテンシパラメータに基づいて、前記可変受信しきい値を生成する段階を備える請求項8または9に記載の方法。
- 前記バッファに格納されているパケットの数が前記可変受信しきい値を超える前に、バッファアンロードタイムアウト値が終了した場合に、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと、格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する段階を備える請求項8から10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記バッファに格納されているパケットの数が前記可変受信しきい値を超える前に、バッファアンロードイベント信号を受信した場合に、前記バッファアンロードイベント信号に応じて、前記バッファから前記演算サブシステムへと格納されている前記情報パケットを転送する段階を備える請求項8から11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 請求項8から12のいずれか1項に記載の方法を実装するべくシステムを構成する一連のコンピュータ読み出し可能プログラム要素を備える請求項8から12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
