Description
タグアンテナに用いる基本的なアンテナとして、例えば、図11に示したような、全長150mm程度、幅15mm程度の折り返しダイポールアンテナ(Folded Dipole Antenna )100が用いられる。このアンテナ100の利得は約2dBiである。この全長は、f=953MHzの波長(約300mm)の半分であり、λ/2の電流分布を持つことにより当該周波数で共振する。この共振周波数においては折り返しダイポールアンテナ100のアドミタンスの虚数成分(インダクタンスやキャパシタンス成分)は0となるので、図11のように、インダクタンス部Laを折り返しダイポールアンテナ100に並列に接続することにより、ICチップと共振させることができる。
この構成によれば、折り曲げ角度を鈍角とする場合に比べ、アンテナ全体の形状を小さくすることができる。
この構成によれば、第二の素子の影響によるアンテナ利得の低下が少なくなる。
この構成によれば、容量結合部を低廉に形成することができる。
また、このとき、前記平行導体と接触する前記誘電体の部分に配置され、当該誘電体よりも比誘電率の高い第二の誘電体を更に有するように構成してもよい。
また、前述した本発明に係るRFIDタグアンテナにおいて、前記第一及び前記第二の素子はシートの上に形成された導体パターンであり、当該シートでシート状の前記誘電体が挟み込まれて形成されているようにしてもよい。
なお、このとき、前記シートは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、紙、及びフィルムのうちのいずれかであってもよい。
あるいは、このとき、前記第一及び前記第二の素子と前記誘電体との接合が、接着剤の使用によってなされているようにしてもよい。
なお、前述した本発明に係るRFIDタグアンテナの給電点に集積回路(IC)チップが装着されていることを特徴とするRFIDタグについても、本発明に係るものである。

まず、図1に示すようなアンテナを検討する。
なお、このときのアンテナ放射抵抗RaはRa=1000〜1500Ω程度になる。また、アンテナの利得の算出結果は1.35dBiとなり、実用上十分な利得が得られる。
Claims (8)
- 1回のみの折り曲げ部分を各々有している一対の導体からなり、当該一対の導体の各々における片方の端部が給電点であり、他方の端部が開放されている第一の素子と、
前記給電点間に形成される容量結合部と、
前記第一の素子の線路幅より大きく、前記第一の素子に沿った形状で、誘電体を挟んで前記第一の素子に対向して配置される導体である第二の素子と、
を有することを特徴とするタグアンテナ。 - 前記折り曲げ部分の折り曲げ角度が直角であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 前記第二の素子が、前記第一の素子の形状に沿った形状とされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 前記容量結合部は、前記第一の素子の給電点に形成されている平行導体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 前記第一及び前記第二の素子はシートの上に形成された導体パターンであり、当該シートでシート状の前記誘電体が挟み込まれて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 前記誘電体は、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン(ABS)樹脂とエポキシ樹脂とのうちのどちらかであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 前記導体は、銅、銀、及びアルミニウムのうちのいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタグアンテナ。
- 請求項1から7までのうちのいずれか一項に記載のタグアンテナの給電点に集積回路(IC)チップが装着されていることを特徴とするタグ。
