Claims (6)
- 複数の画素を含み、入力映像信号及び入力映像制御信号によって前記複数の画素を選択的に発光させて映像を表示する表示部と、
1フレーム単位で読取られた前記入力映像信号に基づいて、前記複数の画素全体に対する発光させる画素数の比率に関する情報を含むオンピクセル信号を生成する信号制御部と、
前記発光させる画素数の比率に関して所定の範囲を有する複数の区分が定義され、前記複数の区分のうち前記オンピクセル信号の前記発光させる画素数の比率に該当する区分を検出して、前記検出された区分に応じて、前記発光させる画素数の比率が大きくなるほど音量ボリュームを減少させるボリューム制御部と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記ボリューム制御部は、前記発光させる画素数の比率が所定の基準値に到達する前まで前記音量ボリュームを一定に維持させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ボリューム制御部は、前記発光させる画素数の比率が前記基準値に到達する前までの音量ボリューム値を基準として区分毎に前記音量ボリュームを減少させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 入力映像信号及び入力映像制御信号によって複数の画素を選択的に発光させて映像を表示する段階と、
1フレーム単位で読取られた前記入力映像信号に基づいて、前記複数の画素全体に対する発光させる画素数の比率に関する情報を含むオンピクセル信号を生成する段階と、
前記発光させる画素数の比率に関して所定の範囲を有する複数の区分を定義する段階と、
前記複数の区分のうち前記オンピクセル信号の前記発光させる画素数の比率に該当する区分を検出する段階と、
前記検出された区分に応じて、前記発光させる画素数の比率が大きくなるほど音量ボリュームを減少させる段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記発光させる画素数の比率が所定の基準値に到達する前まで前記音量ボリュームを一定に維持させる段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記音量ボリュームを調節する段階は、前記発光させる画素数の比率が前記基準値に到達する前までの音量ボリューム値を基準として区分毎に前記音量ボリュームを減少させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
