Description
図1は、本発明による液晶表示装置の一実施例を示した概略平面図である。
図3は、たとえば前記映像信号駆動回路Hを構成する半導体装置CH(H)の一実施例を示す構成図である。図3(a)は平面図を、図3(b)は図3(a)のb−b線における断面図を、図3(c)は図3(a)のc−c線における断面図を示している。
図4は、本発明による液晶表示装置の他の実施例を示す構成図で、図1に対応させて描いた図である。
Claims (8)
- 液晶表示パネルと、この液晶表示パネルの周辺の一部に接続される半導体装置とを備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、液晶を介して対向配置される一対の基板のうち一方の基板に、各画素を駆動させるための各種信号を供給する複数の信号線を備え、これら各信号線のうち基準電圧信号が供給されるコモンバスラインを有し、
前記半導体装置はフレキシブル基板に半導体チップが搭載されて構成され、少なくとも、前記フレキシブル基板には前記半導体チップを介して前記液晶表示パネルの前記信号線に信号を供給するための端子に導く配線を備え、
前記液晶表示パネルの前記コモンバスラインへの基準電圧信号の供給は、少なくとも前記半導体装置のフレキシブル基板に形成されたコモン配線を介してなされ、
当該フレキシブル基板上のコモン配線は、前記半導体チップの搭載領域外の領域、及び前記半導体チップの搭載領域を横切る領域のそれぞれに形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記フレキシブル基板上のコモン配線は、前記半導体チップの搭載領域の両脇と前記半導体チップの搭載領域内の3本が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記フレキシブル基板と前記コモンバスラインは、少なくとも3本のコモン配線で接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記半導体チップは映像信号駆動回路からなり、
走査信号駆動回路を搭載した前記フレキシブル基板は、基準電圧信号の入出力を行う少なくとも3箇所のコモン配線接続端を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記走査信号駆動回路を搭載した前記フレキシブル基板は、前記液晶表示パネルの対向する2辺のそれぞれに接続されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記半導体チップは映像信号駆動回路からなり、
当該映像信号駆動回路を搭載した前記フレキシブル基板は、前記液晶表示パネルに近接して配置されるプリント基板の間に跨って配置され、
前記フレキシブル基板には、前記プリント基板側からの基準電圧信号を入力する少なくとも3本箇所のコモン入力接続端と、前記液晶表示パネルへ基準電圧信号を出力する少なくとも3箇所のコモン出力接続端を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記フレキシブル基板のコモン配線と前記コモンバスラインとの間の前記基板上に、基準電圧信号を供給する表示領域外コモン配線を備え、前記複数の半導体装置の前記表示領域外コモン配線間を相互に接続する第2のコモンバスラインを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2のコモンバスラインは、前記半導体チップの搭載領域を横切る領域に形成されたコモン配線と接続されないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
