Description
(第1の実施形態)
図2は第1の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の動作を示すフローチャートである。第1の実施形態では、カメラ撮影時、TV電話通信時などのカメラ21を動作させるカメラモードの開始時には、表示部20の駆動動作を変更し、カメラ21で撮影した画像を表示する場合の画質を優先する駆動動作を行う。また、カメラモードの終了時には、表示部20の駆動動作を変更し、表示部20の雑音を抑制した駆動動作を行う。
図6は第2の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の動作を説明するタイミングチャートである。この図6は、表示部のライン走査の状態と駆動動作変更のタイミングとを示したものである。
図7は第3の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の動作を示すフローチャートである。第3の実施形態は、駆動動作の変更をユーザに気づかれないように目立たなくするための他の例である。上記の第2の実施形態における駆動変更制御が使用できない場合や、駆動変更の時間として数ms以上必要な場合において、この第3の実施形態を用いればよい。
図10は本実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の動作モードを示す図、図11は第4の実施形態における動作モード毎の表示部の駆動動作の内容と各部の動作状態との対応を示す図である。
本出願は、2003年11月5日出願の日本特許出願(特願2003-375464)、に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。

Claims (4)
- 駆動電圧を印加するための平面状の電極を有する表示部と、
前記平面状の電極に対向し、かつ前記平面状の電極との間で空間を有して設けられた板状の絶縁体パネルと、を備えた携帯端末装置であって、
さらに前記表示部における駆動方式を前記携帯端末装置の動作状態に応じて変更する表示部駆動制御手段を備え、
前記表示部駆動制御手段では、音声通話時には前記表示部における駆動方式を、所定ライン毎に飛び越し走査して表示画面を上から下まで走査する度に印加電圧の極性を反転させる飛び越し走査駆動に変更する携帯端末装置。 - さらにカメラを備え、
前記表示部駆動制御手段では、前記カメラで撮影した撮影画像や前記カメラで撮影中の被写体画像を表示するカメラモード時もしくはTV電話通信時には前記表示部における駆動方式を順次走査駆動に変更する請求項1記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記表示部は、前記平面状の電極として、液晶の表示素子毎に対応して表示素子の液晶層を挟む電極を有する液晶表示装置であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の携帯端末装置。
- 前記絶縁体パネルは、アクリルパネルであることを特徴とする請求項3記載の携帯端末装置。
