Description
<ラテックス樹脂A(低Tg)の調製>
スチレン、アクリル酸n−ブチルおよびベータ−CEAのエマルション重合から形成させたポリマー粒子を含む、樹脂Aと呼ぶラテックスエマルションを以下のようにして調製した。
<ラテックス樹脂B(高Tg)の調製>
スチレン、アクリル酸n−ブチルおよびベータ−CEAのエマルション重合から形成させたポリマー粒子を含む、樹脂Bと呼ぶラテックスエマルションを以下のようにして調製した。
<トナーの調製>
エマルションアグリゲーショントナーを以下のようにして調製した。
Claims (4)
- ケミカルトナー組成物であって、
a)スチレンビニルコポリマーを含み、約46〜約56℃のTgを有する第一の樹脂、
b)約54〜約65℃のTgを有するスチレンビニルコポリマーを含む第二の樹脂、
c)蒸留したワックス、
および
d)着色剤、を含み、
前記ワックスは、ケミカルトナー組成物において使用される前記ワックス1重量パーセントあたり、前記ワックスの再結晶の間に発生する再結晶化熱が約1.0〜約4.0J/gであり、前記ワックスの融解によって発生するエンタルピー熱が約1.0〜約4.0J/gであり、且つ約70〜約99℃のピーク融解点を有し、
前記第二の樹脂のTgは前記第一の樹脂のTgよりも約5〜約10℃高いトナー。 - 前記再結晶化熱およびエンタルピー熱が、約1.5〜約3.0J/gである請求項1に記載のトナー。
- 前記トナーが、加熱コヒージョンにより測定して、約45〜約65℃のブロッキング温度を有する請求項1に記載のトナー。
- 前記トナーが、約5〜約65のトナーコヒージョンを有し、ここでトナーコヒージョンは、下記の表現を用いたパーセントコヒージョンとして計算される、
%トナーコヒージョン=((MA/MT)+3/5(MB/MT)+1/5(MC/MT))×100
(ここで、MAは、53ミクロン孔径の篩い上で集められたトナー質量、MBは、45ミクロン孔径の篩い上で集められたトナー質量、MCは、38ミクロン孔径の篩い上で集められたトナー質量、そしてMTは、使用したトナーの全質量である)請求項1に記載のトナー。
