Claims (4)
- 情報記録媒体に/からデータを記録/再生する記録/再生装置において、
前記情報記録媒体に/からデータを書込み/読み取りをする書込み/読み取り部と、
前記情報記録媒体に/からデータを書込み/読み取りをするように、前記書込み/読み取り部を制御し、前記情報記録媒体の最終化時に、前記書込み/読み取り部が前記情報記録媒体の少なくとも二つの層を往来する時に利用するために、前記情報記録媒体に少なくとも一つ以上設けられるミドル領域を拡張する制御部とを備え、
前記制御部は、
前記情報記録媒体の最終化時に、前記ミドル領域を前記ミドル領域以後に特定の目的として使用するために配列された専用領域の少なくとも一部分まで拡張することを特徴とする記録/再生装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記ミドル領域にリードアウト属性のデータを記録するように前記書込み/読み取り部をさらに制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録/再生装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記専用領域を前記媒体へのデータ記録/再生のための特性をテストするためのテスト領域として使用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録/再生装置。
- 情報記録媒体にデータを記録したり前記情報記録媒体からデータを再生する記録/再生方法において、
前記情報記録媒体の最終化時に、前記情報記録媒体に記録/再生を行う記録/再生装置が前記情報記録媒体の少なくとも二つの層を往来する時利用するために、少なくとも一つ以上設けられるミドル領域を拡張する段階を含み,
前記拡張段階は、
前記情報記録媒体の最終化時に、前記ミドル領域を前記ミドル領域以後に特定の目的として使用するために配列された専用領域の少なくとも一部分まで拡張する段階とを含むことを特徴とする記録/再生方法。
