Description
前記流通路を開放するよう前記バルブが開弁作動した時に、このバルブに押し動かされる接触式のスイッチがONすることによって、開弁信号を出力する出力手段を備えることを特徴とする。
本実施形態の燃料濾過装置は、例えば自動車用ディーゼルエンジン(内燃機関)を対象にしたコモンレール式燃料供給システムに設けられている。
図1に示す上記第1実施形態では、フィードポンプ41及び高圧ポンプ42を同一ケース内に収容してポンプ装置40を構成し、燃料濾過装置30をフィードポンプ41の下流側に配置している。つまり、上記第1実施形態にかかる燃料濾過装置30は、フィードポンプ41の吸入負圧により第1及び第2流通経路30a,30bに燃料を流通させる吸入負圧タイプである。
本発明は上記実施形態の記載内容に限定されず、以下のように変更して実施してもよい。
Claims (3)
- 燃料中の異物を濾過する第1フィルタ及び第2フィルタと、
前記第1フィルタが目詰まりしていない通常時には、前記第1フィルタへ燃料を流通させるとともに前記第2フィルタへの流通を遮断し、前記第1フィルタの目詰まりが所定以上に進行した目詰まり時には、前記第2フィルタへ燃料を流通させるよう流通経路を切り替える流路切替手段と、
を備え、
前記流路切替手段は、前記通常時には前記第2フィルタへ通じる流通路を閉塞し、前記目詰まり時には前記流通路を開放するバルブを有して構成され、
前記バルブは、当該バルブの前後差圧が設定圧を超えた時に開弁作動する機械式バルブであるとともに、前記前後差圧が前記第1フィルタの目詰まり度合いに応じて変化するよう配置され、
前記第1フィルタ及び前記第2フィルタは、燃料ポンプへ吸入される燃料の吸入経路に配置され、
前記第1フィルタの下流側通路を前記バルブの下流側通路と連通させ、
前記目詰まりの進行に伴い前記第1フィルタの下流側圧力が低下して、前記バルブの下流側圧力が所定圧を下回った場合に、前記バルブは開弁作動するよう設定されており、
前記流通路を開放するよう前記バルブが開弁作動した時に、このバルブに押し動かされる接触式のスイッチがONすることによって、開弁信号を出力する出力手段を備えることを特徴とする燃料濾過装置。 - 燃料入口及び燃料出口を形成するフィルタヘッドと、
前記第1フィルタ及び前記第2フィルタを保持して前記フィルタヘッドに取り付けられるフィルタ保持部材と、
を備え、
前記フィルタ保持部材は、前記燃料入口から流入した燃料が前記第1フィルタ及び前記第2フィルタの一方を通過して前記燃料出口から流出するよう内部に燃料通路を形成し、かつ、前記第1フィルタ及び前記第2フィルタを保持したまま前記フィルタヘッドに対して脱着可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料濾過装置。 - 前記第2フィルタの濾過面積を前記第1フィルタの濾過面積よりも小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の燃料濾過装置。
