Description

Claims (9)
- 調節可能な電圧が印加される複数の制御電極を有し、
固定電圧を有する対向電極とを有し、
前記対向電極は流体と前記制御電極の1つとの間に設けられ、
前記それぞれの制御電極の表面の一部を覆うことを特徴とする、
流体を操作するシステム。 - 前記対向電極と前記制御電極のそれぞれとの間に電気的絶縁が提供されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 前記電気的絶縁は前記流体に向き合う疎水性表面を有することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 前記対向電極は前記流体に向き合う疎水性表面を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 前記対向電極上に疎水性コーティングは前記電気的絶縁よりもはるかに薄いことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 前記制御電極は空間的に2次元パターンで整列していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 前記対向電極と前記液滴との間にある層の電気抵抗は前記制御電極と前記液滴との間の層の電気抵抗よりも小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
- 電圧を個々の制御電極に印加することで制御電極を動作させ、
個々の停止制御電極は接地電位と電気的に接触するように制御電極を停止する、
ことを特徴とする電気的制御システムを有する、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。 - 前記流体はお互いそして前記流体の流体と混合しない1つ以上の流体で囲まれていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の流体を操作するシステム。
