Description
Claims (4)
- データを磁気記憶媒体に記録する方法であって、
透明層(60)、該透明層の内部に付加された半反射層(114)、および、前記半反射層よりも前記磁気記憶媒体の表面側の前記透明層内に埋め込まれた近接結合構造(70)を含む導波路(58)に、輻射エネルギーが前記半反射層と前記磁気記憶媒体の表面の間で共振する周波数で輻射エネルギーを印加することによって、前記磁気記憶媒体(40)を加熱すること、及び、
前記輻射エネルギーによって加熱される前記磁気記憶媒体の部分に書き込み磁界を印加することを含み、
前記近接結合構造(70)は、平坦部分および屈曲部分を有し、前記平坦部分は、前記磁気記憶媒体の表面に平行であり、前記屈曲部分は、前記磁気記憶媒体の方へ延び、かつ空気支承の表面に隣接する間隙を形成するように前記磁気記憶媒体から離されており、前記近接結合構造(70)に伝播する前記輻射エネルギーを共振させて、該輻射エネルギーの照射を磁気記録媒体(40)の記録スポットに限定し、該記録スポットを所定温度より高い温度に加熱するようにする、方法。 - 前記近接結合構造が、前記磁気記憶媒体の表面から2nmから50nmの距離だけ離れて配置されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記半反射層が、前記磁気記憶媒体から、前記輻射エネルギーの半波長の整数倍に等しい距離だけ離れたところに位置する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記近接結合構造(70)が、前記透明層に埋め込まれた複数の腕(72、74、76、78)であり、該複数の腕のおのおのが、前記平坦部分および前記屈曲部分を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
