Description
このような構成の材料を使用した紙容器では、主に低密度ポリエチレン樹脂からなる最内層を加熱して溶かして容器に成形しているが、バリア性層として、AL箔以外で基材フィルムの一方の面に無機酸化物の蒸着膜を積層させた場合、熱伝導性が悪く、そのため、低密度ポリエチレン層を溶かすのに充分な加熱を行うと、しばしばバリア性層にピンホールが発生することがあり、逆に加熱が不足するとピンホールは発生しないものの充分なシールができないという問題がある。また、AL箔をバリア性層として使用した場合、熱伝導性が良く、ピンホールの発生が少ないものの、シールの際に段差部の埋まりにおいて、充分ではなく、漏れ等が発生していた。従って、ピンホールの発生がなく、かつ、シール不良のないシール条件を設定することは非常に難しく、シール条件の許容範囲は非常に狭いものであった。この問題を解決するために、最内層にエチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体を用いた構成の積層材からなる紙容器も使用されている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。また、最内層にエチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体に低密度ポリエチレン樹脂を含有させた樹脂を用いた構成の積層材からなる紙容器も提案されている(例えば、特許文献2参照。)。
内容物がジュースである筒状の紙容器を作製した。
まず、上蓋として、プラズマ化学気相成長装置で、基材フィルムである厚さ12μmの二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムのコロナ処理面に、厚さ200Åの酸化珪素の蒸着膜を形成し、酸素/アルゴン混合ガスプラズマ処理を行って、酸化珪素の蒸着膜面の表面張力を54dyne/cm以上向上させてたプラズマ処理面を形成した。
紙140g/m2/EMAA30μm/ポリウレタン系樹脂コート0.5g/m2(乾燥状態)・酸化珪素蒸着膜200Å・PET12μm/PEF60μm/(LDPE20μm/S−PE20μm)
PE20μm/紙300g/m2/EMAA20μm/ポリウレタン系樹脂コート0.5g/m2(乾燥状態)・酸化珪素蒸着膜200Å・PET12μm/PEF40μm/(LDPE20μm/S−PE20μm)
上記の実施例1において、バリア性層を構成する無機酸化物の蒸着膜が化学気相成長法による酸化珪素の蒸着膜ではなく、2軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムのコロナ処理面に、アルミニウムを蒸着源に用いて、酸素ガスを供給しながら、エレクトロンビーム(EB)加熱方式による真空蒸着法により、膜厚200Åの酸化アルミニウムの蒸着膜を形成した物理気相成長法による酸化アルミニウムの蒸着膜であること以外は、上記の実施例1と全く同様にして、実施例1と同様に、本発明にかかる積層材を製造した。
まず、上記の実施例1と同様に、バリア性層を製造し、つぎに、300g/m2のカップ原紙とバリア性層の蒸着膜面をエチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体樹脂20μmをオゾン処理を施しながらサンドラミし、さらにバリア性層のPET面側に2液硬化型AC剤を塗布し低密度ポリエチレン樹脂[d=0.923g/cm3、MI=3.7g/10分]を20μm押出しラミネートした。さらに、上記ラミ原反の紙側に低密度ポリエチレン樹脂[d=0.923g/cm3、MI=3.7g/10分]を20μm押出しラミネートし、反転させ、低密度ポリエチレン樹脂側に、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン樹脂[d=0.915g/cm3、MI=4.0g/10分]20μとメタロセン触媒を用いて重合したエチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体樹脂[d=0.907g/cm3、MI=11.0g/10分]20μmとを共押出しにより積層させて積層材を作製した。
実施例1の最内層を1層の低密度ポリエチレン40μmにしたこと以外は、全て同一とした紙容器を作製した。

- 少なくとも、最外層、紙基材層、熱可塑性樹脂層、基材フィルムの一方の面に無機酸化物の蒸着膜とプライマー剤塗布膜とを設けた構成からなるバリア性層、中間ポリエチレン層、該中間ポリエチレン層側をポリオレフィン樹脂とし、接内容物側をメタロセン触媒を使用して重合したエチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体とした共押し出しにより積層してなる最内層を順次積層した積層材であって、前記バリア性層を構成する無機酸化物の前記蒸着膜と前記プライマー剤塗布膜とが、前記紙基材層の面に対向して積層した積層材からなり、前記最内層を構成する接内容物側の層の前記エチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体樹脂の密度が0.880〜0.920g/cm 3 の範囲であり、メルトインデックスが0.2〜20g/10分の範囲であり、かつ前記最内層を構成する前記中間ポリエチレン層側の前記ポリオレフィン樹脂からなる層(最内層の中間ポリエチレン層側の層)と前記接内容物側の前記エチレン−α・オレフイン共重合体からなる層(最内層の接内容物側の層)との厚み比[最内層の接内容物側の層の厚さ/最内層の中間ポリエチレン層側の層の厚さ]が、0.05〜1.5の範囲であることを特徴とする紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する前記基材フィルムが、2軸延伸加工した樹脂のフィルムまたはシートからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載する紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する無機酸化物の前記蒸着膜が、化学気相成長法または物理気相成長法によることを特徴とする請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載する紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する無機酸化物の前記蒸着膜が、化学気相成長法による酸化珪素からなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載する紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する無機酸化物の前記蒸着膜が、物理気相成長法による酸化アルミニウムの蒸着膜からなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載する紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する前記プライマー剤塗布膜が、ポリウレタン系樹脂またはポリエステル系樹脂をビヒクルの主成分とする樹脂組成物によるコーティング膜からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載する紙容器。
- 前記バリア性層を構成する前記プライマー剤塗布膜が、ポリウレタン系樹脂またはポリエステル系樹脂をビヒクルの主成分とし、さらに、シランカップリング剤と充填剤を含む樹脂組成物によるコーティング膜からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載する紙容器。
