Description
開発の初期においては、ステント、とくに、冠状動脈内におけるステントの実用化は深刻な抗凝固性の問題を有していた。しかしながら、それ以来、抗凝固性技術が発展し、現在は、簡易にかつ効果的になっている。患者外抗凝固性治療を含むより良く、より容易な養生法が絶えず導入され、ステント患者の入院期間が短くなっている。
本発明の別の目的は、血管形成後における血管の反動を防止するステントを提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、拡張したときに、ステント長さの短縮を減少させたステントを提供することにある。
本発明の他の目的は、ステントアセンブリのデリバリーバルーン上にクリンプされたときに、ロープロフィールを有するステントを提供することにある。
本発明のもう一つの目的は、蛇行した血管または湾曲した血管内で、脈管”ハングアップ(はまりこんで動かなくなること)”が少ないチェーンメッシュステントを提供することである。
Claims (6)
- 近位端及び遠位端を含み、バルーンにより拡張可能なステントであって、前記ステントの拡張時において前記遠位端が前記近位端よりも小さな直径を有するように拡張されるテーパ部を有し、前記テーパ部は少なくとも前記ステントの遠位端を含むステントにおいて、
複数の拡張コラムを備え、
前記各拡張コラムは、相互に接続された拡張ストラットからなり、一つの拡張コラムを構成する複数の拡張ストラットは同じ長さを有し、円周方向に隣接する拡張ストラットに対してその近位端と遠位端とで交互に複数の結合ストラットを介して接合されると共に、前記ステントの円周周りに配置されており、
前記複数の拡張コラムは、
第1の長さを有する拡張ストラットからなる複数の第1の拡張コラムと、
前記第1の長さとは異なる長さの拡張ストラットからなる複数の第2の拡張コラムとを備え、
前記複数の第2の拡張コラムの各拡張コラムは、前記テーパ部を形成するよう互いに連結されており、前記第2の拡張コラムの各拡張ストラットの長さは、前記テーパ部の一端を形成する拡張コラムの拡張ストラットの長さが前記テーパ部の他端を形成する別の拡張コラムの拡張ストラットの長さよりも大きくなるように、前記テーパ部の一端から他端にかけて徐々に変化しており、
隣接する拡張コラムは、隣接する拡張コラム間に設けられた複数の連結ストラットを介して結合され、
前記連結ストラット及び前記結合ストラットは、前記ステントの長手方向軸に対して傾斜していることを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1記載のステントにおいて、
前記ステントは、シームの無い管状をなすことを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1記載のステントにおいて、
前記ステントは、管を切断して形成されていることを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1記載のステントにおいて、
前記テーパ部は、前記ステントの膨張時において同ステントの全長の大部分に亘り延在していることを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1記載のステントにおいて、
前記複数の第2の拡張コラムは、前記ステントの全長の大部分に亘り延在していることを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1記載のステントにおいて、
前記ステントは、バルーンカテーテルの先細なバルーン上に装着されていることを特徴とするステント。
