Description
Claims (17)
- 通信リンクのリンク品質を繰り返し測定し、リンク品質メトリックを生成する品質測定ユニット、及び
該品質測定ユニットから該リンク品質メトリックを与えられ、該測定したリンク品質の変化を決定し、差分リンク品質インディケータを生成する差分分析器、ここで、該リンク品質メトリックは第1のコーディングを用いて基地局に送信され、及び該差分リンク品質インディケータはリンク品質を指示するためにコーディングなしで又はわずかな第2のコーディングを用いて基地局に送信される、
ここで、「わずかな」は、第1のコーディングに比したものである、
を具備する遠隔局装置。 - 該リンク品質は受信信号のキャリア対干渉として測定される、請求項1の遠隔局。
- 該遠隔局はセクタカバーを該リンク品質メトリックに適用する、請求項2の遠隔局。
- ワイアレス通信システムにおいて、
第1のレートでリンク品質メッセージを生成すること、ここで、該リンク品質メッセージは通信リンクの品質に関する情報を与えそして第1のコーディングを用いて基地局に送信される、及び
第2のレートで差分インディケータを生成すること、ここで、該差分インディケータは該通信リンクの該品質の変化を指示しそしてコーディングなしで又はわずかな第2のコーディングを用いて基地局に送信される、ここで、該第2のレートは該第1のレートより大きい、また、ここで、「わずかな」は、第1のコーディングに比したものである、
を具備する方法。 - 各リンク品質メッセージは受信機における受信信号のキャリア対干渉情報を含む、請求項4の方法。
- 該受信信号はパイロット信号である、請求項5の方法。
- 各差分インディケータは少なくとも1ビットである、請求項4の方法。
- 差分インディケータを生成することは、
測定したリンク品質を予想したリンク品質と比較すること、
該測定したリンク品質が該予想したリンク品質より低い場合、減少インディケータとして該差分インディケータを生成すること、
該測定したリンク品質が該予想したリンク品質より高い若しくは等しい場合、増加インディケータとして該差分インディケータを生成すること、及び
該差分インディケータに基づいて該予想したリンク品質を調節すること、及び
該差分インディケータを基地局に送信すること、
をさらに具備する、請求項4の方法。 - 音声通信及びパケットスイッチされた通信を処理するワイアレス通信システムにおいて、
逆方向リンクにおける信号を受信する働きをする受信回路系、ここで、該受信信号は第1のコーディングを用いて送信されたリンク品質メッセージ及びコーディングなしで又はわずかな第2のコーディングを用いて送信された差分インディケータを含む、ここで、
該リンク品質メッセージは順方向リンクのリンク品質メトリックを定期的に与える、ここで、該差分インディケータは連続する複数の該リンク品質メッセージ間の該リンク品質メトリックを追跡する、
ここで、「わずかな」は、第1のコーディングに比したものである、
該逆方向リンクにおいて受信されたリンク品質メッセージを記憶する働きをするメモリ記憶ユニット、及び
該差分インディケータに応じて該メモリ記憶ユニット中に記憶された該リンク品質メッセージを更新する働きをする差分分析器、
を具備する基地局。 - 該メモリ記憶ユニット中に記憶された該リンク品質メッセージに応じて該システム中のパケットスイッチされた通信をスケジュールする働きをするスケジューラユニット、をさらに具備する、請求項9の基地局。
- 該リンク品質メトリックはデータレート制御メッセージにマッピングされる、請求項10の基地局。
- 各データレート制御メッセージは、データレート制御テーブル中の1つの記載事項に対応する、
各差分インディケータは該データレート制御テーブル中の隣接する記載事項を指し示す、請求項11の基地局。 - 音声通信及びパケットスイッチされた通信を処理するワイアレス通信システムにおいて、
データレート制御メッセージ及び関連する送信情報をリストするデータレート制御テーブル、
該データレート制御テーブルに接続されたデータレート計算ユニット、ここで、該データレート計算ユニットは通信リンクの品質を示すリンク品質メトリックに応じてそして
トランシーバにおいて受信された信号に基づいて決定される該データレート制御メッセージを選択する働きをする、及び
該データレート計算ユニットに接続され、該選択されたデータレート制御メッセージに対応する該データレート制御テーブル中の次の記載事項を指し示す差分インディケータを生成する働きをする差分分析器、ここで、該データレート制御メッセージは第1のコーディングを用いて、そして該差分インディケータはコーディングなしで又はわずかな第2のコーディングを用いてデータ送信の送信機へと送信される、
ここで、「わずかな」は、第1のコーディングに比したものである、
を具備するトランシーバ。 - 該差分リンク品質インディケータは、該測定したリンク品質に対して1回設定される予想したリンク品質に基づいて生成される、請求項1の遠隔局。
- 該リンク品質メトリック及び該差分リンク品質インディケータは、2つの異なるチャネル上に送られる、請求項1の遠隔局。
- 該リンク品質メトリック及び該差分リンク品質インディケータは、時間でオーバーラップして送られる、請求項1の遠隔局。
- 該リンク品質メトリックは、第1の時間の期間において送られ、そして該差分リンク品質インディケータは、該第1の時間の期間よりも短い第2の時間の期間において送られる、請求項1の遠隔局。
