Description
図1は本発明の第1の実施形態を示す図であり、下水汚泥などの有機性廃棄物は乾燥・熱分解などの前処理工程において水分を除去されたうえ、ガス化処理工程において1000℃前後の高温で部分酸化され、有機性廃棄物中のH分とC分はH2,COなどのガス燃料として回収される。これらのガス燃料は従来と同様に例えば火力発電所の熱源などとして利用され、電力が回収される。しかし有機性廃棄物に含有されるN分は、ガス化処理工程の廃水中に移行する。このため廃水中にはアンモニウムイオンが高濃度に含有される。
本発明で用いるアンモニア分解触媒は、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア等の金属酸化物担体上にニッケルまたはニッケル酸化物を第1成分として担持させ、更にアルカリ土類金属元素を金属または酸化物の形で第2成分として添加したものを使用する。アルカリ土類金属としては、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウムなどが用いられる。このようなアンモニア分解触媒は、例えば周知の共沈法によりニッケル/アルミナ触媒を製造し、これを乾燥させた後にバリウムなどの第2成分をエタノールや水に溶解させて含浸させる方法で製造することができる。
Claims (4)
- 有機性廃棄物を処理する工程で廃水中に発生するアンモニアを、ストリッピング法を用いて回収し、回収されたアンモニアをアンモニア分解触媒により分解して水素を回収し、この水素を発電装置に供給して電力エネルギーを得る廃棄物処理由来のアンモニアからのエネルギー回収方法において、
該アンモニア分解触媒として、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニアから選択された何れかの金属酸化物担体上にニッケルを第1成分として担持させ、更にアルカリ土類金属を金属または酸化物の形で第2成分として添加し、該第1成分/担体の重量比が1〜40%、該第2成分/担体の重量比が1〜15%としたものを使用することを特徴とする廃棄物処理由来のアンモニアからのエネルギー回収方法。 - 有機性廃棄物を処理する工程が、有機性廃棄物のガス化処理、有機性廃棄物の液化処理、有機性廃棄物の消化処理の何れかである請求項1記載の廃棄物処理由来のアンモニアからのエネルギー回収方法。
- 発電装置が燃料電池、ガスエンジン発電機、ガスタービン発電機の何れかである請求項1または2記載の廃棄物処理由来のアンモニアからのエネルギー回収方法。
- 燃料電池として、プロトン交換膜型燃料電池またはリン酸型燃料電池を用いる請求項3記載の廃棄物処理由来のアンモニアからのエネルギー回収方法。
