Description
本発明の粘結性を有する石炭粉末は、れんが中で加熱されると400℃程度から軟化をはじめ、温度の上昇に伴って徐々に液化し、高粘性の融液状態を経由して約1000℃で炭化する。軟化状態となることで、粘結性を有する石炭粉末が、炉の昇温時にれんが又は炉の構造体に発生する応力を吸収するので、れんがの耐熱スポール性が著しく向上する。また、炭化後の石炭は、揮発分のガス化によって内部に微細な気孔を有しており、れんがの弾性率を低減することによりれんがの耐熱スポール性が向上する。
Claims (3)
- 炭素質原料および耐火性原料を含有する炭素含有耐火れんがであって、
前記炭素質原料は、粒径が2mm以下の粘結性を有する石炭粉末を含有し、
前記石炭粉末の含有量は、当該石炭粉末を除く前記炭素質原料と前記耐火性原料との含量に対し外掛けで0.2〜10重量%であり、
前記石炭粉末を含む前記炭素質原料の含有量は1〜97重量%であり、
前記耐火性原料の含有量は3〜99重量%であり、
成型後に、前記石炭粉末が炭化する温度より低い温度で熱処理してなることを特徴とする炭素含有耐火れんが。 - 前記粘結性を有する石炭粉末が、粘結性を有する瀝青炭粉末である、請求項1記載の炭素含有耐火れんが。
- 請求項1または2記載の炭素含有耐火れんがを、前記石炭粉末が炭化する温度以上の温度で熱処理する工程を有する、炭素含有耐火れんがの使用方法。
