Description
HO−Z−OH
[式中、Zは、6〜30C原子を有する芳香族基であり、1またはそれよりも多くの芳香核を含んでいてもよく、置換されていてもよく、そして、結合基として、脂肪族もしくは脂環式基またはアルキルアリールまたはヘテロ原子を含んでいてもよい。]
最後から2番目の反応器と最後の反応器との間でギアポンプを用いて溶融物ストリームからスプリットストリームを引き、停止剤をこのスプリットストリームに添加する。その直後に、スタティックミキサーを介してこの混合物を激しく混合し、混合物をポンプによってメインストリームに戻す。入口地点のダウンストリームは、別のスタティックミキサーであり、これによってメインの溶融物ストリームにおける均一な分配を確実にし、次いで、これを最終の反応器に供給する。

溶媒の粘度と、この溶媒に溶解したポリマーの粘度との比率として、相対粘度を決定する。ジクロロメタン、濃度5g/l溶液、25℃で相対粘度を決定する。
分子量の重量平均値(Mw)を光散乱測定によって決定する。
フェノール性OHの含量をIR測定によって得る。この目的のために、50mlジクロロメタン中の2gのポリマーの溶液を純粋なジクロロメタンと比較してそれぞれ測定し、3582cm−1での吸収の差を決定した。
残存モノマーを決定するために、サンプルをジクロロメタン中に溶解し、次いで、アセトン/メタノールで沈殿させた。沈殿したポリマーを分離して除いた後、少量になるまで濾液を濃縮する。残存モノマーを逆相クロマトグラフィー(移動溶媒グラジエント:0.04%リン酸−アセトニトリル)によって定量する。検出はUVによる。
スターラー、内温度計、およびブリッジ付きVigreuxカラム(30cm、鏡面)を備えた500mlの3径フラスコにおいて、45.66g(0.2mol)のビスフェノールA、46.27g(0.216mol)のジフェニルカーボネート、およびビスフェノールAに対して35%フェノールを含むテトラフェニルホスホニウムフェノレートのフェノール付加体(TPP−P)0.0053g(4×10−3mol%)を秤量する。この装置から大気中の酸素を減圧除去し、窒素で(3回)洗浄し、混合物を150℃、100mbarで溶融する。温度を190℃に上昇し、形成するフェノールを30分にわたって蒸留する。次いで、温度を235℃に上昇し、形成されるフェノールを10分間蒸留する。次いで、10分間の内に減圧を60mbarに調整し、同時に温度を300℃に調整する。さらに10分後、減圧を0.5mbarに減少し、攪拌を30分間続ける。次いで、窒素を逆流してサンプル1を常圧に戻し、サンプル1の相対粘度、フェノール性OH末端基の含量および残存モノマーを決定する。
比較例1と同様に、ただし、サンプル1の除去後、2.5ppmの10%水性リン酸を添加し、2時間以上、300℃、0.5mbarで攪拌を続け、残存モノマーをエバポレートする。結果を表1に示す。
スターラー、内温度計、およびブリッジ付きVigreuxカラム(30cm、鏡面)を備えた500mlの3径フラスコにおいて、136.98g(0.6mol)のビスフェノールA、134.96g(0.63mol)のジフェニルカーボネート、およびビスフェノールAに対して35%フェノールを含むテトラフェニルホスホニウムフェノレートのフェノール付加体0.0159g(4×10−3mol%)を秤量する。この装置から大気中の酸素を減圧除去し、窒素で(3回)洗浄し、混合物を190℃で溶融し、形成するフェノールを蒸留する。次いで、100mbarの減圧を行い、蒸留をさらに20分間続ける。次いで、温度を235℃に上昇し、形成されるフェノールを15分間蒸留する。次いで、5分間以内に減圧を60mbarに調整し、15分間維持する。温度を250℃に上昇し、15分間プラトーを維持する。次いで、圧力を15分間、5mbarに減少し、その後、温度を280℃に上昇する。さらに15分後、減圧を0.5mbarに減少し、さらに15分間攪拌を続ける。次いで、温度を300℃に上昇し、30分間維持する。次いで、窒素雰囲気下、サンプルを常圧に戻し、サンプルの相対粘度、フェノール性OH末端基の含量および残存モノマーを決定する。
比較例2と同様に、ただし、サンプル1の除去後、2.5ppmの10%水性リン酸を添加し、2時間以上、300℃、0.5mbarで攪拌を続け、残存モノマーをエバポレートする。結果を表1に示す。
4.5kgのフェノール/h中に溶解した65.5%テトラフェニルホスホニウムフェノレート/h(0.786mol/h、すなわち、0.0043mol%)を含むテトラフェニルホスホニウムフェノレートのフェノール付加体0.52kgを添加した、4425kgのジフェニルカーボネート/h(20,658mol/h)および4175kgのビスフェノールA/h(18.287mol/h)からなる8600kg/hの溶融混合物をタンクから熱交換器を通してポンピングし、190℃に加熱し、12bar、190℃で検出カラムを通過させる。平均滞留時間は50分である。
Claims (6)
- アルカリまたはアルカリ土類化合物の何れも含まないホスホニウム塩触媒を用いて、ジヒドロキシアリール化合物およびジアリールカーボネートから溶融トランスエステル化法によって得られる、ポリカーボネートの製造方法であって、
既存の多段階製造ラインにおいて、最終反応段階に移行する前に標的の分子量を確立すること、
最終反応段階に移行する前に、5未満のpKaを有する酸物質を、使用された触媒の量に対して測定して化学量論量よりも少ない量で溶融物に添加して縮重合を停止すること、および
最終反応段階においてモノマーを減量すること、
を特徴とする製造方法。 - 最大重量平均分子量Mw28,000を最終の値として得ることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 最終反応器の前でOH末端基の含量を70〜500ppmに調整することを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記酸物質が、オルトリン酸およびオルトリン酸の酸エステルの群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜4何れかに記載の方法によって得ることができるポリカーボネート。
- ポリカーボネートが350ppm未満のジフェニルカーボネート、40ppm未満の2,2−ビス−(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロパンおよび150ppm未満のフェノールを含有する、請求項1〜4何れかに記載の方法によって得られるポリカーボネート。
