Claims (8)
- ハウジング内に粒子状物質フィルタを有する燃料用の燃料ろ過装置において、
凝結用エレメントが粒子状物質フィルタの上流側に接続され、燃料が先ず前記凝結用エレメントを通過し、続いて前記粒子状物質フィルタを通過し、
前記凝結用エレメントがそれに続く前記粒子状物質フィルタでの燃料中に存在する水分の分離を改善し、前記凝結用エレメントは燃料をろ過して清浄にする性質を全然あるいは少ししか有せず、
さらに、ハウジング内に前記粒子状物質フィルタで濾過された燃料を導出する上昇管を設け、前記粒子状物質フィルタは該粒子状物質フィルタと前記ハウジングとの間に前記燃料の通路が形成されるように前記上昇管に嵌め込まれ、前記凝結用エレメントは、前記ハウジングと前記上昇管との間を塞ぐように前記粒子状物質フィルタの上側かつ前記上昇管の外周側に設けられるように円筒状に形成され、流体が該エレメントをその円筒軸または半径方向に沿って通過できる不織布体から構成されているとともに、
前記凝結用エレメントと前記粒子状物質フィルタとの間に円筒状のドレン層が挟みこまれ、該ドレン層は前記ハウジングと前記上昇管との間を塞いでおり、
前記燃料は前記凝結用エレメント内をその上端面から下端面に向かって流れた後、前記粒子状物質フィルタと前記ハウジングとの間の前記通路を介して、前記粒子状物質フィルタ内にその外周側から流入するとともに、前記凝結用エレメントで分離された燃料中の水分は前記ドレン層をその半径方向外方に向かって流れて、前記ハウジングの内壁を伝って下方に流れることを特徴とする燃料ろ過装置。 - 前記粒子状物質フィルタは疎水性の表面を有し、燃料から分離された水分は下方にある前記ハウジングの受液域に集まることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記粒子状物質フィルタはフィルタ媒体が多層に互いに接合され、ろ過分離される粒子状物質の分離能がエレメント通過方向に増大し、流入側のフィルタ層が合成繊維で形成されており、流出側のフィルタ層がセルロースに富んだ紙からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記流入側のフィルタ層が1平方メータの表面積あたり15gから300gの重量の溶融吹付け(メルトブロー)された不織布からなり、清浄側の層がセルロースに富んだ紙あるいは場合によっては艶出しあるいは濃密にされた濾紙からなることを特徴とする請求項3記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記流入側のフィルタ媒体と流出側のフィルタ媒体の間に第3の層として1平方メータの表面積あたり15gから300gの重量の場合によっては艶出しプレスされた溶融吹付押出し不織布が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項3記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記凝結用エレメントは親水浸透性を有するグラスウール、ポリエステル、あるいはポリアミドからなることを特徴とする前記請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記凝結用エレメントは浸透性を有するグラス繊維媒体からなることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の燃料ろ過装置。
- 前記凝結用エレメントは流入および流出側にプラスチック材の穴明き板あるいは支持格子を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料ろ過装置。
