Claims (3)
- 2枚のガラス基板を貼り合わせた光学パネルを前記ガラス基板の表面に形成したスクライブラインで分断するパネル分断方法であって、前記光学パネルは前記2枚のガラス基板間に液晶層を封止してなる液晶パネルであり、前記2枚のガラス基板間に液晶層を封止した後、前記液晶パネルを前記液晶層の液晶のネマティックーアイソトロピック相転移温度以上の温度に加熱して前記液晶の配向処理を行い、その後、前記液晶のネマティックーアイソトロピック相転移温度以上に加熱された前記ガラス基板に、温度変化の速度が30℃/分以上であり、前記温度変化の温度差が50℃以上となる熱衝撃として、冷却による第1の熱衝撃を与え、前記光学パネルを分断することを特徴とするパネル分断方法。
- 前記熱衝撃は、冷却による熱衝撃と加熱による熱衝撃とを交互に組合せ、前記冷却による第1の熱衝撃から連続して2回以上与えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパネル分断方法。
- 前記加熱による熱衝撃は、前記液晶のネマティックーアイソトロピック相転移温度以下の加熱温度で行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のパネル分断方法。
