Description
重量%の範囲で添加した処理液を作成し、その処理液を75〜100℃の範囲、好ましくは85〜100℃の範囲、更に好ましくは90〜100℃の範囲で加熱し、金属箔の片面又は両面を1分以上、好ましくは2分以上、更に好ましくは3分以上処理することで、ベーマイト処理を行った金属箔を得ることが出来る。この処理は、コーター機などを使用してウエブ方式で処理しても良く、又はバッチ方式で処理しても良い。
実施例1の本発明のリチウムイオン電池用外装体び実施例2の比較用のリチウムイオン電池用外装体に使用した積層材料の電解液耐性及び外装体の水分バリア性を以下の方法で評価した。その結果を表1に示す。
(1)電解液耐性試験
エチレンカーボネート/エチレンメチルカーボネート=1/1+LiPF6( 1.5N)の電解液中に15mm×30mmのサイズにカットした積層材料を85℃で2週間侵漬し、軟質アルミニウム合金箔とシーラント層間のデラミネーションの有無を調査した。
(2)水分バリア性試験
前記外装体の中にエチレンカーボネート/ジエチルカーボネート/ジメチルカーボネート=1/1/1の溶媒を3g充填、密封後、60℃、90%RHの環境下で28日間保存後溶媒中の水分量をカールフィッシャー法で測定し、1日当たりの水分変化量を求めた。
実施例2の比較用のリチウムイオン電池用外装体を使用したものに比べて水分変化量が少なく、ヒートシール部の端面からの水分透過防止機能が優れていることが判明した。

Claims (1)
- 電極タブ部を有するリチウムイオン電池を包装する為の外装体において、該外装体が基材層の一方の面に軟質アルミニウム合金箔からなる金属箔層、イソシアネート化合物からなるアンカーコート層、密度0.92g/cm 3 以上のメタロセン系直鎖状ポリエチレン樹脂70〜90重量%とメルトフローレート3.0〜8.0gの低密度ポリエチレン樹脂30〜10重量%との混合樹脂からなる接着樹脂層、ポリオレフィン系多層フィルムからなるシーラント層が順次積層された積層材料からなり、前記金属箔層の少なくとも前記アンカーコート層側の面がベーマイト処理され、前記シーラント層の接着樹脂層側が密度0.92g/cm 3 以上のメタロセン系直鎖状ポリエチレン樹脂と低密度ポリエチレン樹脂との混合樹脂の層であり、前記シーラント層の内容物に接する側がメタロセン系直鎖状ポリエチレン樹脂若しくはランダム共重合ポリプロピレン樹脂の層からなると共に、電極タブ部が設けられた一辺以外の他の辺に設けられたヒートシール部の端面が折り曲げられ、巻き締めされていることを特徴とするリチウムイオン電池用外装体。
