Claims (12)
- 陽極及び陰極集電体の少なくとも一面に活物質が形成された陽極及び陰極電極板と、前記陰極電極板と陽極電極板との間に介されたセパレータを備える電極組立体と、
電極組立体を受け入れるための空間を成す側面部と、前記側面部の下部空間を塞ぐ下面部からなり、上部が開口されたボックス形状でなされて前記キャップ組立体と上部で結合され、前記側面部の4つの側面中、少なくともいずれかの一側面上の一部分に位置する四角形形状の体積膨脹を補償及び防止するための体積膨脹補償・防止手段を少なくとも1つ備えるケースと、
前記ケースと結合されてこれを封入して前記電極組立体と電気的に連結される端子部が形成されたキャップ組立体とを含み、
前記四角形形状の体積膨脹補償・防止手段の2つの対角線の両方向に連結され、所定の幅を備える突起をさらに備え、
前記体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、自身が形成される前記ケースの前記側面部の端部同士を結ぶ平面よりも外部に突出した構造を有し、当該突出構造によって前記ケースの容積を増加しつつ、前記電極組立体の膨張時に前記空間内の圧力の上昇を緩和できるようにしたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、前記側面部の4つの側面中、対向する2つの長辺部上に位置することを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記四角形形状の体積膨脹補償・防止手段の4つの角がラウンドされた形状からなることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 陽極及び陰極集電体の少なくとも一面に活物質が形成された陽極及び陰極電極板と、前記陰極電極板と陽極電極板との間に介されたセパレータを備える電極組立体と、
電極組立体を受け入れるための空間を成す側面部と、前記側面部の下部空間を塞ぐ下面部からなり上部が開口されたボックス形状からなり、前記キャップ組立体と上部で結合され、前記側面部の4つの側面中、少なくともいずれかの一側面上の一部分に体積膨脹を補償及び防止するための第1及び第2体積膨脹補償・防止手段を備えるケースと、
前記ケースと結合されてこれを封入し、前記電極組立体と電気的に連結される端子部が形成されたキャップ組立体とを含み、
前記第1及び第2体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、自身が形成される前記ケースの前記側面部の端部同士を結ぶ平面よりも外部に突出した構造を有し、当該突出構造によって前記ケースの容積を増加しつつ、前記電極組立体の膨張時に前記空間内の圧力の上昇を緩和できるようにしたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記第1体積膨脹補償・防止手段は四角形形状であり、
前記第2体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、前記第1体積膨脹補償・防止手段の2つの対角線の両方向に所定の幅を備えて延びた形状であることを特徴とする請求項4記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 陽極及び陰極集電体の少なくとも一面に活物質が形成された陽極及び陰極電極板と、前記陰極電極板と陽極電極板との間に介されたセパレータを備える電極組立体と、
上部及び下部に開口されたボックス形状の4つの側面からなる側面部と、前記側面部の下部空間を塞ぐ下面部からなる前記キャップ組立体と上部で結合され、前記側面部の4つの側面中、少なくともいずれかの一側面上の一部分に位置する第1成分及び第2成分からなる少なくとも一つの体積膨脹を補償及び防止するための体積膨脹補償・防止手段を備えるケースと、
前記ケースと結合されてこれを封入し、前記電極組立体と電気的に連結される端子部が形成されたキャップ組立体とを含み、
前記体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、自身が形成される前記ケースの前記側面部の端部同士を結ぶ平面よりも外部に突出した構造を有し、当該突出構造によって前記ケースの容積を増加しつつ、前記電極組立体の膨張時に前記空間内の圧力の上昇を緩和できるようにしたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記第1成分は水平成分、または、垂直成分であり、
前記第2成分は前記第1成分の末端から延びて前記第1成分と所定の角度を成すことを特徴とする請求項6記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記第1成分及び第2成分がなす角は0゜より大きく90゜未満であることを特徴とする請求項7記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記側面部の4つの側面中、少なくともいずれかの一側面は、2つの体積膨脹補償・防止手段を備え、
前記2つの体積膨脹補償・防止手段の第1成分は互い平行し、第2成分は他の体積膨脹補償・防止手段が位置する方向の反対方向に向けることを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記側面部の4つの側面中、少なくともいずれかの一側面は、2つの体積膨脹補償・防止手段を備え、
前記2つの体積膨脹補償・防止手段の第1成分は互いに平行し、第2成分は他の体積膨脹補償・防止手段が位置する方向に向けることを特徴とする請求項6〜8のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 側面部及び下面部に区分されるリチウムイオン二次電池ケース用板材の側面部の一部分に体積膨脹を補償及び防止するための体積膨脹補償・防止手段を形成するステップと、
前記リチウムイオン二次電池ケース用板材を塑性加工してリチウムイオン二次電池用ケースを形成するステップと、
を含み、
前記体積膨脹補償・防止手段は、自身が形成される前記ケースの前記側面部の端部同士を結ぶ平面よりも外部に突出した構造を有するように形成され、当該突出構造によって前記ケースの容積を増加しつつ、前記電極組立体の膨張時に前記空間内の圧力の上昇を緩和できるようにしたことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記リチウム二次電池用ケースを形成するステップは、ドローイング加工により遂行することを特徴とする請求項11記載のリチウムイオン二次電池の製造方法。
