Claims (14)
- 1つのデータ線と、第1走査線及び第2走査線を含む2以上の走査線との交差箇所に画素回路が設けられ、前記画素回路が複数形成された表示パネルと、
複数の前記データ線に、両方向にデータ信号を順次印加することができる両方向データ駆動部と、
順方向信号または逆方向信号が印加され、前記第1走査線に順方向または逆方向の第1選択信号を順次出力する第1走査駆動部と、
前記第1走査駆動部から出力される第1選択信号が入力され、前記順方向信号または前記逆方向信号に応じて選択的に、前記第2走査線に順方向または逆方向の第2選択信号を順次出力する第2走査駆動部と、
を備え、
前記画素回路は、
発光素子と;
前記発光素子を駆動する第1のトランジスタと;
前記第1のトランジスタのゲートと一端が接続されるキャパシタと;
前記第2走査線とゲートが接続され、前記第2走査線から供給される前記第2選択信号に応じてターンオンし、前記第1のトランジスタをダイオード連結させる第2のトランジスタと;
前記第1走査線とゲートが接続され、前記第1走査線から供給される前記第1選択信号に応じ、前記データ線から供給されるデータ信号を前記キャパシタの他端に伝達する第3のトランジスタと;
を備え、
前記第2選択信号は、前記画素回路を選択するための前記第1走査線の一つ前の第1走査線に出力される第1選択信号と同一であることを特徴とする、有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1走査駆動部及び前記第2走査駆動部は、前記表示パネルの両側にそれぞれ備えられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1走査駆動部は、
前記順方向信号または前記逆方向信号が印加され、後段に連結されているシフトレジスタが順方向または逆方向に順次の信号を生成できるようにする走査方向制御部と、
前記走査方向制御部によって入力される開始信号を順方向または逆方向にシフトして、順次の信号を出力する前記シフトレジスタと、
前記シフトレジスタから出力される隣接する2つの信号、及び第1クロック信号または第2クロック信号のいずれか1つが入力され、前記第1走査線に前記第1選択信号を提供する第1選択信号印加部と、
を有して構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1選択信号印加部と表示パネルとの間に、バッファ部がさらに備えられることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記走査方向制御部は複数の制御ユニットから構成され、前記制御ユニットは、
順方向信号によりターンオンし、前記開始信号または前段シフトレジスタユニットの出力信号をシフトレジスタユニットに提供する第1トランジスタと、
逆方向信号によりターンオンし、前記開始信号または後段シフトレジスタユニットの出力信号をシフトレジスタユニットに提供する第2トランジスタと、
を有することを特徴とする、請求項3または4に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1トランジスタ及び前記第2トランジスタは、互いに異なるチャネル極性に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1選択信号印加部は、前記シフトレジスタから出力される隣接する2つの信号、及び前記第1クロック信号または前記第2クロック信号のいずれか1つが入力される、複数の3端子否定論理積ゲートから構成されることを特徴とする、請求項3〜6のいずれかに記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1クロック信号及び前記第2クロック信号は、1水平周期を周期とし、互いに位相が反転されて提供されることを特徴とする、請求項3〜7のいずれかに記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2走査駆動部は、前記順方向信号により、前段に連結された前記第1走査駆動部の第1選択信号を前記第2選択信号として出力し、前記逆方向信号により、後段に連結された前記第1走査駆動部の第1選択信号を前記第2選択信号として出力する第2選択信号印加部を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2選択信号印加部と表示パネルとの間に、バッファ部がさらに備えられることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2選択信号印加部は複数の選択ユニットから構成され、前記選択ユニットは、
前記順方向信号によりターンオンし、前段に連結された前記第1走査駆動部の第1選択信号を前記第2選択信号として提供する第3トランジスタと、
前記逆方向信号によりターンオンし、後段に連結された前記第1走査駆動部の第1選択信号を前記第2選択信号として提供する第4トランジスタと、
を有していることを特徴とする、請求項9または10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第3トランジスタ及び前記第4トランジスタは、互いに異なるチャネル極性に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルの画素数がn個である場合、前記第1走査線は、前記表示パネルの前記画素回路の各々に連結されるn+2個の現在走査線であり、前記第2走査線は、前記表示パネルの前記画素回路の各々に連結されるn個の直前走査線であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第1走査線のうち最初の現在走査線及び最後の現在走査線は、ダミー走査線であり、前記最初の現在走査線及び最後の現在走査線に各々連結される画素は、非発光となることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
