例えば、上記実施の形態では、コレステリック液晶を用いた表示素子を例に挙げたが、本発明はこれに限らず、電圧駆動されてメモリ性を有する他の表示素子(例えば電気泳動等)にも適用でき、その中でも特に液晶の一種であれば物理的な安定性の面でより好適である。

Claims (11)
- 複数の表示層が積層された表示部と、
前記複数の表示層の表示データを含む電波を受信する無線送受信部と、
受信した前記電波から前記表示層を駆動するための駆動電圧を生成する駆動電圧生成部と、
前記電波の受信強度に基づいて決定された層数分の前記表示層を前記駆動電圧により同時に駆動する制御部とを有し、
前記層数は、前記受信強度が低いほど少ないこと
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1記載の表示装置において、
前記制御部は、駆動していない表示層への電力供給を遮断すること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置において、
前記制御部は前記電波の受信強度データを生成し、
前記無線送受信部は前記受信強度データを外部に送信すること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 複数の表示層が積層された表示部と、
前記複数の表示層の表示データを含む電波を受信する無線送受信部と、
受信した前記電波から前記表示層を駆動するための駆動電圧を生成する駆動電圧生成部と、
前記電波の受信強度に基づいて決定されたスキャン速度で前記表示層を前記駆動電圧により駆動する制御部とを有し、
前記スキャン速度は、前記受信強度が低いほど遅いこと
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項4記載の表示装置において、
前記制御部は前記電波の受信強度データを生成し、
前記無線送受信部は前記受信強度データを外部に送信すること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置において、
前記制御部は、視認性の高い表示色を表示する前記表示層を先に駆動すること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置において、
前記表示層は、一対の基板と前記基板間に封止された液晶を有していること
を特徴とする表示装置。 - 複数の表示層が積層された表示部を有する表示装置を外部からの受信電波に基づいて駆動する表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記表示層を駆動するための駆動電圧を前記受信電波により生成し、
前記電波の受信強度に基づいて決定された層数分の前記表示層を前記駆動電圧により同時に駆動し、
前記層数は、前記受信強度が低いほど少ないこと
を特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 請求項3記載の表示装置に前記電波を送信し、前記表示装置から前記受信強度データを受信する無線送受信部と、
前記表示装置に送信する送信データを前記受信強度データに基づいて生成する送信データ生成制御部とを有し、
前記送信データ生成制御部は、同時に駆動させる前記表示層の層数を前記受信強度データに基づいて決定し、前記層数を含む前記送信データを生成すること
を特徴とする表示情報送信装置。 - 請求項5記載の表示装置に前記電波を送信し、前記表示装置から前記受信強度データを受信する無線送受信部と、
前記表示装置に送信する送信データを前記受信強度データに基づいて生成する送信データ生成制御部とを有し、
前記送信データ生成制御部は、前記表示層のスキャン速度を前記受信強度データに基づいて決定し、前記スキャン速度を含む前記送信データを生成すること
を特徴とする表示情報送信装置。 - 請求項3又は5に記載の表示装置と、
前記表示装置に前記電波を送信し、前記表示装置から前記受信強度データを受信する無線送受信部と、前記表示装置に送信する送信データを前記受信強度データに基づいて生成する制御部とを備えた表示情報送信装置と
を有することを特徴とする情報表示システム。
