Description
この実施例においては、シアン化ナトリウムの商業生産において典型的な組成物である、溶液からのシアン化ナトリウムを使用した。その製造法については、米国特許公報(特許文献1)に開示があるが、その開示は参考として引用し本明細書に組み入れるものとする。
この実施例では、グリコール酸塩が有る場合および無い場合について、鉄の存在下で成長させたNaCN結晶について示す。
この実施例においては、10ppmFeCl3(鉄基準)を2%のグリコール酸ナトリウムと共に添加した。溶液を調製した後にフラスコ中には、実施例2と同様の小さな褐色の微小片が残った。これは、未溶解のFeCl3であると考えられる。鉄の実際の濃度は、母液におけるFeCl3の飽和によって決まったものと、本発明者らは予測した。したがって、いずれの場合も、追加した鉄の実際の濃度は10ppm未満であって、添加したのが10ppmであろうが30ppmであろうがそれに関係なく、同じ値になっていると予測した。
本発明は以下の実施の態様を含むものである。
1.HCNを水性NaOHと接触させてNaCNを含む溶液を製造する工程、および前記NaCNを結晶化させてNaCN結晶のスラリーを製造する工程を含む方法であって、前記方法が、酸または前記酸の金属塩の存在下で実施され、前記酸のpKaが4.8以下、好ましくは4.4以下であることを特徴とする、方法。
2.前記方法が、グリコール酸、酢酸、コハク酸、乳酸、ギ酸、グリセリン酸、クエン酸、フマル酸、シトラコン酸、マレイン酸、スルファミン酸、それらのエステル、またはそれらの2種以上の組合せである、前記酸の存在下で実施され;そして、前記酸が、好ましくは前記グリコール酸であることを特徴とする、前記1に記載の方法。
3.前記シアン化水素に対する前記酸のモル比が、約0.001:1から約1000:1までの範囲であることを特徴とする、前記2に記載の方法。
4.前記方法が、グリコール酸、酢酸、コハク酸、乳酸、ギ酸、グリセリン酸、クエン酸、フマル酸、シトラコン酸、マレイン酸、スルファミン酸、それらのエステル、またはそれらの2種以上の組合せである、前記酸の前記金属塩の存在下で実施され;そして、前記酸の前記金属塩が、好ましくは前記グリコール酸ナトリウムであることを特徴とする、前記1に記載の方法。
5.前記シアン化水素に対する前記グリコール酸ナトリウムのモル比が、約0.001:1から約1000:1までの範囲であることを特徴とする、前記4に記載の方法。
6.前記NaCN結晶が前記スラリーから分離され、乾燥されて乾燥NaCN結晶が製造されることを特徴とする、前記1、2、3、4または5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
7.前記NaCN結晶を水に溶解させて溶液を製造する工程、および前記溶液を鉱石と接触させる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、前記6に記載の方法。
8.結晶化させることを、前記NaCN溶液を冷却してペースト組成物を製造することに置き換え、前記水性NaOHが任意選択的に、好ましくはギ酸ナトリウム、鉄塩またはそれらの組合せであるレオロジー調整剤を含むことを特徴とする、前記1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
9.前記水性NaOHが、金属酸化物、金属水酸化物、金属ヒドロスルフィド、金属炭酸塩、金属重炭酸塩、および2種以上の組合せからなる群より選択される金属化合物をさらに含むことを特徴とする、前記8に記載の方法。
10.任意選択的に、前記ペースト組成物を溶解させて溶液を製造する工程、および前記ペースト組成物または前記溶液を鉱石と接触させる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、前記8または9に記載の方法。
Claims (1)
- HCNを水性NaOHと接触させてNaCNを含む溶液を製造する工程、および前記NaCNを結晶化させてNaCN結晶のスラリーを製造する工程を含む方法であって、前記方法が、グリコール酸またはグリコール酸の金属塩の存在下で実施されることを特徴とする、方法。
