Claims (8)
- LNG貯蔵タンク内で発生した蒸発ガスを再液化し、前記LNG貯蔵タンクに復帰させる蒸発ガス再液化装置を備えたLNG運搬船を推進する装置であって、
1つのメインディーゼルエンジンと、
前記メインディーゼルエンジンに分離可能に連結された推進軸と、
前記推進軸に分離可能に連結され、前記蒸発ガス再液化装置の作動に使用される電力を供給される推進用電気モータと、を含み、
前記推進用電気モータは、前記蒸発ガス再液化装置用の2つのインバーターに並列に接続されていることを特徴とするLNG運搬船の推進装置。 - 前記メインディーゼルエンジンの駆動軸と前記推進軸との間には、クラッチが設置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLNG運搬船の推進装置。
- 前記推進用電気モータの駆動軸と前記推進軸との間には、クラッチが設置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLNG運搬船の推進装置。
- 前記推進用電気モータの駆動軸と前記推進軸との間には、さらに減速ギアが設置されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のLNG運搬船の推進装置。
- 前記LNG貯蔵タンクの下流には、蒸発ガスを焼却させるガス燃焼器が設置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLNG運搬船の推進装置。
- LNG貯蔵タンク内で発生した蒸発ガスを再液化し、前記LNG貯蔵タンクに復帰させる蒸発ガス再液化装置を備えたLNG運搬船を推進する方法であって、
正常作動時、1つのメインディーゼルエンジンの動力を用いて、前記LNG運搬船を推進し、
前記メインディーゼルエンジンの不具合時、前記メインディーゼルエンジンからの動力の伝達を遮断すると共に、前記蒸発ガス再液化装置の作動に使用される電力を前記蒸発ガス再液化装置用の2つのインバーターに並列に接続される推進用電気モータに供給し、前記推進用電気モータを駆動させて前記LNG運搬船を推進することを特徴とするLNG運搬船の推進方法。 - 前記メインディーゼルエンジンの不具合時、発電機から蒸発ガス再液化装置に供給される電力を遮断し、前記蒸発ガス再液化装置の作動を停止させることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のLNG運搬船の推進方法。
- 前記蒸発ガス再液化装置の作動の停止時、前記LNG貯蔵タンクの内部で発生した蒸発ガスにより前記LNG貯蔵タンクの圧力が上昇し、設定されている安全圧力以上になった時、蒸発ガスをガス燃焼器に送って燃焼し焼却させることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のLNG運搬船の推進方法。
