Description
次に、エンジンヘッド40と主体金具5との密着状態を効果的に維持することができるように、亜鉛めっき層50の厚みを確認するための評価試験を行った。以下、図4,図5を参照し、評価試験の方法およびその結果について説明する。図4は、亜鉛めっき層50の厚みの測定を行う方法を説明するための図である。図5は、亜鉛めっき層50の厚みによる密着性に対する評価試験の結果を示す表である。

Claims (1)
- 中心電極と、軸線方向に貫通する軸孔を有し、その軸孔の先端側で前記中心電極を保持する絶縁碍子と、前記絶縁碍子の径方向周囲を取り囲みつつ、該絶縁碍子を保持する鋼鉄材料からなる主体金具を備えたスパークプラグであって、
前記主体金具は、前記スパークプラグをエンジンヘッドに組み付けた際に、そのエンジンヘッドに係合する雄ねじ状のねじ部を有し、
少なくとも前記ねじ部の表面上には、前記主体金具のその他の表面上よりも厚く、かつ、10μm以上、300μm以下の厚みを有し、亜鉛を主成分とする金属層が形成されていることを特徴とするスパークプラグ。
