Claims (4)
- 独立にオン・オフ制御される第1の透明導電膜と、全ての画素に共通な対向電極として機能する第2の透明導電膜と、複数の前記第1の透明導電膜と前記第2の透明導電膜の間に封入された液晶層と、前記第2の透明導電膜の液晶層と反対の面に配置されて異なる色の光を透過させるカラーフィルタを有し、少なくとも3つの画素で1つのカラー画素を構成してカラーの画像を表示する表示装置の製造方法であって、
画素のオン・オフ制御のための電極や回路を形成した第1絶縁基板の主面にバインダ分散導電膜材料インクを塗布し焼成して前記3つの画素で同一膜厚の前記第1の透明導電膜とし、当該第1の透明導電膜の屈折率と膜厚の積で表される光学膜厚を前記少なくとも前記3つの画素で異ならせると共に、
カラー1画素内の前記3つの画素のそれぞれをR,G,Bとし、R,G,B各画素に対応する島状の透明導電膜をPXR,PXG,PXBとし、PXR,PXG,PXBの各膜厚をdR,dG,dBとしたとき、
dR=dG=dB
とし、
R,G,B各画素のカラーフィルタの透過波長域中心値をλR,λG,λBとし、PXRの前記透過波長域中心値λRにおける屈折率をnR、PXGの前記透過波長域中心値λGにおける屈折率をnG、PXBの前記透過波長域中心値λBにおける屈折率をnBとしたとき、
nR>nG>nB
とすることにより、透過率を低下させることなく白色の色度差を低減した表示を行う表示装置を製造することを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項1において、
前記第1絶縁基板の主面にバインダ分散導電膜材料インクをインクジェット塗布方式で塗布する工程と、
塗布されたバインダ分散導電膜材料インクを焼成して前記第1の透明導電膜を形成する工程を含み、
前記インクジェット塗布方式による前記バインダ分散導電膜材料インクに含まれる導電性微粒子とバインダの体積比で前記3つの画素の透明導電膜の屈折率を異ならせることにより、透過率を低下させることなく白色の色度差を低減した表示を行う表示装置を製造することを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項1において、
前記第1絶縁基板に形成した画素のオン・オフ制御のための電極や回路をインクジェット塗布方式による導電性材料インクの塗布と焼成で形成することを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項1において、
前記第1の透明導電膜と前記第2の透明導電膜の形成がITO、IZO、ITZOの何れかを主成分とするバインダ分散導電膜材料インクを用いることを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。
