Claims (2)
- 2次元的に密着配置された複数のシンチレータからなるシンチレータ群と、前記シンチレータ群に対して光学的に結合されたライトガイドと、前記ライトガイドに対して光学的に結合され、かつ前記シンチレータ群の数よりも少ない複数の光電子増倍管とを備えた放射線検出器において、前記ライトガイドは、板状の光学的部材を格子状に組み合わせた格子枠体を有しており、前記ライトガイドの外周を傾斜させて構成し、この格子枠体により小区画を形成し、この小区画を形成した前記光学的部材のうち、少なくとも最端の光学的部材を傾斜させて構成するとともに、前記ライトガイドのシンチレータ群と接する側の面において、前記最端の光学的部材とその内側に配置された光学的部材との間隔が他の光学的部材間の間隔よりも小さくすることを特徴とする放射線検出器。
- 2次元的に密着配置された複数のシンチレータからなるシンチレータ群と、前記シンチレータ群に対して光学的に結合されたライトガイドと、前記ライトガイドに対して光学的に結合され、かつ前記シンチレータ群の数よりも少ない複数の光電子増倍管とを備えた放射線検出器の製造方法において、前記ライトガイドを、(A)複数の板状の光学的部材を格子状に組み合わせて格子枠体を作成する工程と、(B)この格子枠体が収容可能な矩形状容器に格子枠体を収納する前あるいは収納した後に、その矩形状容器に透明な液体樹脂を流し込む工程と、(C)硬化した液体樹脂と格子枠体とが一体化した硬化樹脂体を矩形状容器から取り出して外形を整えてライトガイドとする工程とを経て製造し、前記(A)の工程の際には、各々の光学的部材を、(a)前記シンチレータ群の配置方向に対して所定の間隔に調整すること,(b)前記シンチレータ群の配置方向に対して所定の角度に調整すること,(c)前記各シンチレータ間の間隔とは異なる間隔に調整することの少なくともいずれかで構成して、光学的部材を格子状に組み合わせることを特徴とする放射線検出器の製造方法。
