前記の温度範囲内の水溶液は、通常、0.5〜10時間の間、前記の温度範囲内に保持される。
酸化チタンTiO 2 を6mg採り(ゾル液の場合は相当のTiO 2 を含むゾル液)、1cmキュベットセルに入れ、2x10 −5 mol/Lのメチレンブルー水溶液を加え、磁気回転子で攪拌する。高圧キセノンランプからの光を5cm長さの水フィルターを通し、セルに側面より照射する。セル前面での光量を測定し、120mW/cm 2 に調節した。10分毎に試料液を取り出し、遠心分離し濾液の可視紫外吸収スペクトルを測定しメチレンブルーの吸光度変化から光触媒活性を評価した。
実施例1で400℃で2時間か焼して得られたルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒5.0gを、100mLポリエチレン製広口瓶に入れ、直径1mmのガラスビーズ50.0g、エタノール44.0g、1規定塩酸0.5g、ノニオン系界面活性剤TritonX−100(ユニオンカーバイド社登録商標)0.5gを加え、密封した。これを、内容積300mLのステンレス製ボールミルポットに入れ、広口瓶がボールミルポットの中央になるように、隙間に布を詰めた。そして、ボールミルポットを密封した後、ボールミル回転台に載せて、毎分60回転の速度で18時間分散化処理を施した。処理後、広口瓶を取り出し、ナイロン製メッシュシートでガラスビーズをろ別して、ルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒のエタノール分散液を得た。次に、予め重量を測定したスライドガラス(2.6cm×7.6cm,厚さ1mm)を、この分散液に、90秒毎に、毎秒0.4cmの速度で42回、浸漬および引き上げを行なって、スライドガラス表面にルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒を固定化した。2.6cm幅の一方の面を除き、他の面に付着した光触媒は、全て拭き取った。これを、電気炉で空気雰囲気下,400℃,3時間焼成処理を行い、光触媒塗布試料板Aを作製した。光触媒固定化の前後の重量測定、並びにルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒を固定化した部分の丈の計測より、この試料板は、ルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒の塗布重量6.6mg、ルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒の塗布面積12.2cm2、面積当りの塗布重量、5.4g/m 2であった。
光触媒塗布試料板Aに、空気雰囲気下、5.4mW/cm2の紫外線を3時間照射した。光源には27Wのブラックライトブルー灯(三共電気、FPL27BLB)を、紫外線強度測定には、UVA−365(カスタム社製)を用いた。
照射処理後の光触媒塗布試料板Aを、シリコンパッキン付きコネクターおよびミニコックが一つずつ付属した容積1リットルのテドラー(デュポン社登録商標)バッグ内部の中央に、5mm角の両面テープで貼り付けた。その際、バッグの一辺を一度切り取って、貼付の後に、切除部分をヒートシーラーで密封した。続いて、真空ポンプを用いてミニコックから内部の空気を抜き出してからコックを閉じ、真空パックされた状態で暗所に一晩放置した。
次に、酸素20%、窒素80%の混合ガスを15℃のイオン交換水を潜らせた湿潤混合ガスと、1%アセトアルデヒド/窒素混合ガスとを、混合して、アセトアルデヒド濃度96ppmのガスを調製した。このガスを600mL採取して、上記の光触媒塗布試料板Aを内部に貼付したバッグに、注入した。その後、バッグを暗所に20時間放置した。その後、バッグ内部のガスのアセトアルデヒド濃度および二酸化炭素濃度を測定した。濃度測定には、メタナイザー付きのガスクロマトグラフ(島津社製GC−10A)を使用した。分析後、光触媒塗布試料板Aを内部に貼付したバッグを、光触媒塗布試料板Aの塗布面が、白色蛍光灯(松下電工製、10W、FL10N)から4cmの距離で光が垂直に当たるように置いた。そして、蛍光灯による光照射2時間毎にバッグ内部のガスの分析を行った。この時、バッグと同じフィルム1枚をフィルターとして塗布面と同一の場所で測定した紫外線強度は、11μW/cm2であった。ここで、紫外線強度測定には、UVA−365(カスタム社製)を用いた。二酸化炭素の濃度推移は、(図4)に示した。蛍光灯の光を照射することにより、アセトアルデヒドを分解して二酸化炭素を生成することが確認できた。
浸漬および引き上げを40回にした以外は実施例5と同様にして、光触媒塗布試料板Bを作製した。この試料板は、ルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒の塗布重量5.8mg、ルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子光触媒の塗布面積12.3cm2、面積当りの塗布重量4.7g/m 2であった。
光触媒塗布試料板Aの代わりに光触媒塗布試料板Bを、アセトアルデヒドの代わりにトルエンを、アセトアルデヒド濃度96ppmの混合ガスの代わりにトルエン濃度31ppmの混合ガスを用いた以外は、実施例5と同様にして。蛍光灯の光照射によるトルエンの分解反応を行った。二酸化炭素の濃度推移は(図5)に示した。蛍光灯の光を照射することにより、トルエンを分解して二酸化炭素を生成することが確認できた。
グリコール酸を添加せずに実施例1と同様に行ったところ、沈殿濾過後、再分散困難なルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子の凝集体が得られた。X線回折のデバイシェラー式から求めた超微粒子の平均粒径は実施例1と同様であったが、超微粒子の凝集体の平均粒径は270nmと巨大であった。
アナターゼ型酸化チタンを次のように調製した。
250mLイオン交換水にフルカ社製TiOCl 2 ・HCl溶液2.5mLを加え、0.05M TiOCl 2 溶液とし、60℃、5h加熱してゾル液を得た。アセトニトリル添加により、沈殿を得、これを乾燥して粉末を得た。X線回折の結果、得られた粉末はアナターゼ型結晶であった。電顕観察によると球状の超微粒子の平均粒径は5nmで凝集はほとんどみられなかった。
Claims (27)
- キレート剤の存在下、Ti分濃度が0.07〜5mol/Lであるチタン化合物の水溶液のpHを−1〜3の範囲で保持して得られるルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子。
- 請求項1記載のキレート剤がヒドロキシカルボン酸類、ジケトン類、ケトエステル類、ジカルボン酸類から選ばれる一種以上のものである、請求項1記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子。
- 請求項2記載のヒドロキシカルボン酸類がグリコール酸または乳酸またはクエン酸または酒石酸またはそれらの塩である、請求項2記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子。
- 請求項2記載のジケトン類がアセチルアセトンまたはその塩である、請求項2記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子。
- チタンに対するモル比が0.0005〜0.05のキレート剤を添加する請求項1〜4記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子。
- 請求項1〜5記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子を含有する光触媒。
- 100〜800℃でか焼された請求項6記載の光触媒。
- キレート剤の存在下、Ti分濃度が0.07〜5mol/Lであるチタン化合物の水溶液のpHを−1〜3の範囲で保持するルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子の製造方法。
- キレート剤がヒドロキシカルボン酸類、ジケトン類、ケトエステル類またはジカルボン酸類から選ばれる一種以上のものである、請求項8記載の製造方法。
- ヒドロキシカルボン酸類がグリコール酸、乳酸、クエン酸、酒石酸またはそれらの塩である、請求項9記載の製造方法。
- ジケトン類がアセチルアセトンまたはその塩である、請求項9記載の製造方法。
- チタンに対するモル比が0.0005〜0.05のキレート剤を添加する請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
- キレート剤の存在下、Ti分濃度が0.07〜5mol/Lであるチタン化合物の水溶液のpHを−1〜3の範囲で保持して得られるルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体。
- キレート剤がヒドロキシカルボン酸類、ジケトン類、ケトエステル類または、ジカルボン酸類から選ばれる一種以上のものである、請求項13記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体。
- ヒドロキシカルボン酸類がグリコール酸、乳酸、クエン酸、酒石酸またはそれらの塩である、請求項14記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体。
- ジケトン類がアセチルアセトンまたはその塩である、請求項14記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体。
- チタンに対するモル比が0.0005〜0.05のキレート剤を添加する請求項13〜16記載のいずれか一項に記載のルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体。
- 請求項13〜17のいずれか一項に記載の凝集体を含有する光触媒。
- 100〜800℃でか焼された請求項18記載の光触媒。
- キレート剤の存在下、Ti分濃度が0.07〜5mol/Lであるチタン化合物の水溶液のpHを−1〜3の範囲で保持するルチル型酸化チタン超微粒子からなる凝集体の製造方法。
- キレート剤がヒドロキシカルボン酸類、ジケトン類、ケトエステル類またはジカルボン酸類から選ばれる一種以上のものである、請求項20記載の製造方法。
- ヒドロキシカルボン酸類がグリコール酸、乳酸、クエン酸、酒石酸またはそれらの塩である、請求項21記載の製造方法。
- ジケトン類がアセチルアセトンまたはその塩である、請求項21記載の製造方法。
- チタンに対するモル比が0.0005〜0.05のキレート剤を添加する請求項20〜23のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
- 請求項6、請求項7、請求項18または請求項19のいずれか一項に記載の、有機化合物分解用光触媒。
- 請求項6、請求項7、請求項18または請求項19のいずれか一項に記載の光触媒を使用する、有機化合物の分解方法。
- 有機化合物がアルデヒド、トルエンまたは有機色素である、請求項25に記載の光触媒または請求項26に記載の分解方法。
