Description
Claims (13)
- 反射部と透過部とを有する複数の画素から構成され、前記画素は配向分割された複数の副画素からなり、
基板上に形成された素子層と、
前記素子層を被覆するように前記基板上に形成された絶縁膜と、
前記素子層に接続するように前記絶縁膜上に形成された画素電極と、
前記画素電極を一部領域に有する前記絶縁膜上に形成されたギャップ調整層と、
前記副画素間を電気的に接続する接続部上に形成した誘電体とを有し、
前記反射部は、前記素子層と、前記素子層を被覆する前記絶縁膜と、前記絶縁膜上に形成された前記ギャップ調整層とを有する領域からなり、
前記透過部は、前記ギャップ調整層の形成領域を除く前記基板上に形成された前記画素電極を有する領域からなり、
前記絶縁膜は、前記基板表面から前記反射部の前記絶縁膜表面までの高さが前記透過部の前記絶縁膜表面までの高さより高く形成されていて、
前記誘電体は、前記透過部の絶縁膜上に前記画素電極を介して前記一部領域上の前記ギャップ調整層と同一層に形成されている
液晶表示装置。 - 前記ギャップ調整層は、前記素子層と前記画素電極との接続領域を含む前記素子層上の前記絶縁膜上に形成される
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ギャップ調整層の表面が凹凸形状に形成されている
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ギャップ調整層が画素間に形成される
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ギャップ調整層上に反射電極が形成されている
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記反射電極が前記ギャップ調整層端部で前記素子層に接続している画素電極と接続している
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記反射部は前記一副画素の全域に形成され、前記透過部は前記副画素を用いて形成されたもので、
前記ギャップ調整層は誘電体からなり、
前記反射部とした前記副画素の全域に前記ギャップ調整層が形成されている
請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 反射部と透過部とを有する複数の画素から構成され、前記画素は配向分割された複数の副画素からなる液晶表示装置の製造方法は、
基板上に素子層を形成する工程と、
前記素子層を被覆するように前記基板上に絶縁膜を形成する工程と、
前記素子層に接続するように前記絶縁膜上に画素電極を形成する工程と、
前記画素電極を形成した後、前記絶縁膜上にギャップ調整層を形成する工程とを備え、
前記反射部は、前記素子層と、前記絶縁膜と、前記ギャップ調整層とを有する領域で形成し、
前記透過部は、前記ギャップ調整層の形成領域を除く前記基板上に形成された前記画素電極を有する領域で形成し、
前記透過部の前記画素電極上で、前記副画素間を電気的に接続する接続部上に誘電体を形成し、
前記ギャップ調整層と前記誘電体とを同一層で形成する
液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ギャップ調整層は、前記素子層と前記画素電極との接続領域を含む前記素子層上の前記絶縁膜上に形成される
請求項8記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記副画素間に誘電体を形成することで、画素分割を行う
請求項8記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ギャップ調整層の表面に凹凸を形成する工程を有する
請求項8記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ギャップ調整層上に前記画素電極に接続する反射電極を形成する工程を有する
請求項8記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記基板表面から前記反射部の絶縁膜表面までの高さが前記透過部の絶縁膜表面までの高さより高くなるように、前記絶縁膜を形成する
請求項8記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。
