Claims (5)
- ガラスの室内側の面から臨界角を超える角度で光を入射可能とする入射用光学素子部と、前記ガラスの室外側の面で全反射した前記光を室内側に取出し可能とする射出用光学素子部とを有する雨滴検出用光学素子を前記ガラスの室内側の面の光の入射位置と射出位置とに対応して設け、前記ガラスの室外側の面で全反射し射出して来る入射させた光の光量を測定することで、前記ガラスの車室外側の面への雨滴の付着量を測定して成る雨滴センサにおいて、前記雨滴センサの雨滴検出用光学素子は、断面が半円状のシリンドリカルレンズ状となる接続部の両端に、半球面状のレンズをさらに中心軸に沿い2等分した形状のレンズを付着させた形状とされ、一方の端部が前記入射用光学素子部とされ、他方の端部が前記射出用光学素子部とされ、前記ガラスの車室内側の面に分割面側で透明な樹脂接着剤により粘着されて、前記入射用光学素子部に対しては、赤外線発光LEDが光を前記ガラスの車室外側の面で全反射を生じる位置として取付けられ、前記射出用光学素子部に対しては、第一の受光素子がガラスの車室外側の面で全反射した光を受光できる位置として取付けられ、前記入射用光学素子部と前記射出用光学素子部との中間となる接統部の中央であり且つシリンドリカル状に突出する側に適宜間隔を設けて第二の受光素子が取付けられ外光センサとされていることを特徴とする雨滴センサ。
- 前記第一の受光素子は、可視光を遮蔽し赤外線を透過するフィルターが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の雨滴センサ。
- 前記接続部、若しくは、接続部の近傍には、前記第二の受光素子に対して可視光を集束する補助レンズが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の雨滴センサ。
- 前記雨滴検出用光学素子部の全体が透明な部材で形成され、前記第二の受光素子に対して適宜な受光角を設定する不透明な部材で形成されたフードが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3何れかに記載の雨滴センサ。
- 前記雨滴検出用光学素子が前記第二の受光素子に対して適宜な受光角を設定するように、正面前方方向が開く略ホーン状に透明部材で形成され、その周囲の部分が赤外光は透過し可視光は遮蔽する色彩の部材で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3何れかに記載の雨滴センサ。
