Description
Claims (2)
- 接着剤を製造する方法であって、
(a)細長い熱シール可能な熱可塑性のウェブを連続的に移動させる工程と、
(b)前記ウェブを少なくとも1つの側端に沿って長手方向にシールして細長い管状物を形成する工程と、
(c)少なくとも一方が可撓性の非円形コンベヤを含む第1および第2のジョー支持部材であって、前記第1および第2のジョー支持部材の間に画定されたシーリング経路に沿って前記ウェブと実質的に同じ速度で移動する複数の協働対の嵌合ジョーを含む、第1および第2ジョー支持部材を用意する工程と、
(d)前記シーリング経路に沿って前記ウェブが移動しているときに、一対の嵌合ジョー間に前記ウェブを把持しかつ前記ウェブを加熱して接合することにより前記ウェブに第1の横方向シールを形成して、シールされた両側端、シールされた底部及び開放された上部を備えた、部分的に形成されたパウチを構成する工程と、
(e)前記部分的に形成されたパウチに、重合可能な液体モノマー混合物を充填する工程と、
(f)前記シーリング経路に沿って前記ウェブが移動しているときに、一対の嵌合ジョー間に前記ウェブを把持しかつ前記ウェブを加熱して接合することにより前記ウェブに第2の横方向シールを形成し、前記部分的に形成されたパウチの上部をシールする工程と、
(g)前記液体モノマーを重合する工程と、
(h)重合された液体を前記ウェブとブレンドして接着剤を製造する工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記シーリング経路に進入するウェブは、前記横方向シールを形成している間は実質的に張力を受けない請求項1に記載の方法。
