Description
本実施形態では、アクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置について説明する。なお、配向制御用の突起部が、画素の中に複数配置されている。
(2)第2遮光部E2の幅D2が、第1遮光部E1の幅D1より広いから、第2の色要素領域部としての画素20が第1の色要素領域部としての画素10より小さくなるから、液晶24を透過する透過光が画素20を透過するときに、画素10に影響を及ぼすことが少なくなるので、コントラストの低下を抑制することが実現可能になり、しかも、色再現性を保持しながら視認性に優れた表示性能の良好な液晶表示装置100を提供することができる。
Claims (3)
- 第1基板と、
前記第1基板と対向する位置に配置された第2基板と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に挟持された液晶と、
前記第2基板上に設けられた複数の色要素領域部と、
前記色要素領域部の周囲を囲むように形成された遮光部と、を備え、
前記複数の色要素領域部は、第1の色要素を有する第1の色要素領域部と、前記第1の色要素領域部とは異なる第2の色要素を有し、且つ面積が小さい第2の色要素領域部と、を備え、前記第1の色要素領域部と前記第2の色要素領域部が第1の方向に配列されてなり、
前記第1の方向に交差する第2の方向であって、前記第1の色要素領域部と隣接し、第3の色要素を有する第3の色要素領域部が配置されてなり、前記第1の色要素領域部と前記第3の色要素領域部との間に第1遮光部を備えており、
前記第1の方向に交差する第2の方向であって、前記第2の色要素領域部と隣接し、且つ前記第1の方向であって前記第3の色要素領域部に隣接するとともに、第4の色要素を有する第4の色要素領域部が配置されてなり、前記第2の色要素領域部と前記第4の色要素領域部との間に第2遮光部を備えており、
前記第2遮光部の幅が、前記第1遮光部の幅より広く形成され、
_前記第1の色要素は、前記第2の色要素に対して補色の関係にあり、かつ前記第3の色要素は、前記第4の色要素に対して補色の関係にある
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記色要素領域部には、リブ又はスリットが形成されてなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 液晶表示装置を有する電子機器であって、
請求項1または請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置を備えていることを特徴とする電子機器。
