Description
即ち、収率の良否を判断する攪拌動力比の臨界式としては、式(1)から次式(2)のように表わせる。
式(2)におけるKの値を図1から求めると−1.8となり、式(2)は式(3)で表すことができる。
ガス通気流量が最大の時の攪拌動力(Pg[W])とガス未通気時の攪拌動力(P0[W])の比(Pg/P0)が、式(3)の値以上となる攪拌条件で反応を続ければ、所望の製品を収率良く得ることができるのである。
2リットルのバッフル付きセパラブルフラスコにドデシルアルコール(花王(株)製 カルコール20)1200gと特公平3−4534号公報実施例1に記載の触媒2g(対原料アルコール0.17重量%)を仕込み、翼径50mmのコンケーブタービンを用いて撹拌回転数275r/minで攪拌しながら昇温を開始した。水素ガスを33NL/Hrの流量で系内に吹込み、触媒の還元活性化を行った。その後、水素ガスの流量を維持しながら、ジメチルアミンガスの吹込みを開始し、220℃になった時のジメチルアミンガスの流量が109NL/Hrとなるように徐々に流量を増し、220℃に達した時点を反応0時間として反応を開始した。反応圧は常圧とし、反応により生成する水、余剰のジメチルアミンガス及び水素ガスは、精留塔を通して未反応アルコール及び3級アミンとを分離して、反応系外へ排気した。また、反応中においては、攪拌速度、系内の温度及び水素ガスの流量を維持しながら、ジメチルアミンガスの流量は、上記生成水を除いた排ガス中のジメチルアミンの割合が5〜30容量%となるように制御した。更に反応中、ガスクロマトグラフィーにより反応の追跡を行い、未反応アルコールが1%以下になった時点でジメチルアミンガスの通気を止め、水素のみを0.5時間通気した。この未反応アルコール1%時の副生物を除く収率及び反応開始からの経過時間(反応時間)を、前後のガスクロマトグラフィーのデータから求めた結果を表1に示した。また、ガス通気流量が最大時のPg/P0の値を図1上に示した。
攪拌回転数を530r/minに変えて攪拌した以外は、実施例1と同様な手順で製造を行った時の、未反応アルコール1%時の副生物を除く収率及び反応開始からの経過時間(反応時間)を表1に示した。また、ガス通気流量が最大時のPg/P0の値を図1上に示した。
攪拌翼として、翼径37.5mmのエッジドタービンを用いて、撹拌回転数600r/minで攪拌した以外は、実施例1と同様な手順で製造を行った時の、未反応アルコール1%時の副生物を除く収率及び反応開始からの経過時間(反応時間)を表1に示した。また、ガス通気流量が最大時のPg/P0の値を図1上に示した。
攪拌翼として、翼径48mmのフラットタービンを用いて、撹拌回転数275r/minで攪拌した以外は、実施例1と同様な手順で製造を行った時の、未反応アルコール1%時の副生物を除く収率及び反応開始からの経過時間(反応時間)を表1に示した。また、ガス通気流量が最大時のPg/P0の値を図1上に示した。
攪拌翼として、翼径50mmのプロペラを用いて、撹拌回転数400r/minで攪拌した以外は、実施例1と同様な手順で製造を行った時の、未反応アルコール1%時の副生物を除く収率及び反応開始からの経過時間(反応時間)を表1に示した。また、ガス通気流量が最大時のPg/P0の値を図1上に示した。
11 エッジドタービン
Claims (3)
- 攪拌槽を用いて触媒存在下、水素流通下において、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状の、炭素数6〜36の飽和又は不飽和の脂肪族アルコールと脂肪族1級もしくは2級アミンガスとを100〜250℃にて反応させて3級アミンを製造するに際し、撹拌に剪断型撹拌翼を用い、撹拌翼直径(d[m])と槽直径(D[m])との比(d/D)が0.15〜0.45であり、ガス通気流量が最大の時の攪拌動力(Pg[W])とガス未通気時の攪拌動力(P0[W])の比(Pg/P0)が10-1.8Na以上となる攪拌条件で反応を行う3級アミンの製造方法。
ここに、Naは通気係数を示し、Na=Qg/nd3(Qg[m3/s]:ガス通気流量、n[1/s]:攪拌回転数、d[m]:攪拌翼直径)である。 - 剪断型撹拌翼がコンケーブタービン又はエッジドタービンである請求項1記載の3級アミンの製造方法。
- 触媒がCuを含有する請求項1又は2記載の3級アミンの製造方法。
