Claims (4)
- 光ディスクに記録された情報を再生する光ディスク再生装置において、
光ディスクにレーザ光を照射させ反射光を受光して読み取り信号としてのRF信号を出力する光ピックアップからのRF信号を増幅するRFアンプのゲインを、光ディスクの立ち上げのディスク判別時に最大レンジに設定するゲイン制御手段と、
前記RFアンプからのRF信号を予め設定された2値化条件に従って2値化し前記RF信号にCAPA(Complimentary Allocated Pit Address)信号が含まれていればCAPA信号の検出を示す2値化信号を出力する2値化手段と、
前記RF信号が前記最大レンジの上下所定%を占めているかにより前記RF信号に含まれるCAPA信号を2値化するために前記最大レンジの上下所定%のレベルに相当する上側閾値と下側閾値とを前記2値化手段への2値化条件として設定する2値化条件設定手段と、
前記上側閾値と下側閾値との間に信号が無い空洞部分を2値化した前記2値化手段からの2値化信号の時間を測定し、ディスク1回転の時間に対する前記2値化信号の時間の割合を示す2値化信号割合を算出する2値化信号割合算出手段と、
前記算出された2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合であるか否かを判定し、前記2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合であれば、光ディスクがDVD−RAMであると判別し、前記2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合でなければ、光ディスクがDVD−RAM以外の光ディスクであると判別するディスク判別手段と、を備えたことを特徴とする光ディスク再生装置。 - 光ディスクに記録された情報を再生する光ディスク再生装置において、
光ディスクにレーザ光を照射させ反射光を受光して読み取り信号としてのRF信号を出力する光ピックアップからのRF信号を増幅するRFアンプのゲインを、光ディスクの立ち上げのディスク判別時に最大レンジに設定するゲイン制御手段と、
前記RFアンプからのRF信号を予め設定された2値化条件に従って2値化し前記RF信号に含まれているディスク固有信号の検出を示す2値化信号を出力する2値化手段と、
前記RF信号が前記最大レンジの上下所定%を占めているかにより前記RF信号に含まれるディスク固有信号を2値化するために前記最大レンジの上下所定%のレベルに相当する上側閾値と下側閾値とを前記2値化手段への2値化条件として設定する2値化条件設定手段と、
前記上側閾値と下側閾値との間に信号が無い空洞部分を2値化した前記2値化手段からの2値化信号の時間を測定し、ディスク1回転の時間に対する前記2値化信号の時間の割合を示す2値化信号割合を算出する2値化信号割合算出手段と、
前記算出された2値化信号割合に応じて光ディスクを判別するディスク判別手段と、を備えたことを特徴とする光ディスク再生装置。 - 前記ディスク固有信号とは、光ディスクがDVD−RAMである場合はCAPA信号であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光ディスク再生装置。
- 前記ディスク固有信号がCAPA信号である場合、前記ディスク判別手段は、前記算出された2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合であるか否かを判定し、前記2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合であれば、光ディスクがDVD−RAMであると判別し、前記2値化信号割合がCAPA信号を示す所定の割合でなければ、光ディスクがDVD−RAM以外の光ディスクであると判別することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光ディスク再生装置。
