Claims (14)
- 同軸コネクタであって、
中空コアを有する導電性外側シェルと、
中心導体と、
抵抗器の第1端部と、
前記抵抗器の第2端部と、
から成り、
前記中空コア内には絶縁体が取り付けられており、
前記中心導体は、前記外側シェルの前記中空コア内の実質的に中心に配置されている前記絶縁体内に取り付けられており、前記中心導体の第1端部と前記外側シェルの第1端部とは協力して結合端部を画成しており、
前記抵抗器の前記第1端部は、前記中心導体の第2端部に電気的に接続されており、
前記抵抗器の前記第2端部は、導電性の後プラグに接続されており、
前記後プラグは、その内側を延びる中央軸方向開口と、圧着スリーブとを有しており、前記抵抗器の前記第2端部は、前記中央軸方向開口を通り前記後プラグの前記圧着スリーブ内まで延びており、
前記抵抗器は、前記外側シェルの前記中空コア内で実質的に軸方向に延びており、
前記後プラグは、前記結合端部の反対側にて、前記外側シェル内に少なくとも一部分が取り付けられており、前記抵抗器の前記第2端部を前記外側シェルに電気的に接続することを特徴とする同軸コネクタ。 - 前記同軸コネクタは、更に、前記後プラグ及び前記外側シェルの周囲に嵌合するようなされた後キャップから成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記絶縁体は単体ピースからなる絶縁体であり、前記中心導体は、前記絶縁体を貫通する中心軸方向開口内にプレスフィットされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記絶縁体は2つのピースからなる絶縁体であり、前記2つのピースは協力して中心軸方向開口を形成し、前記中心軸方向開口内には、前記中心導体が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記絶縁体の前記2つのピースは同一であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記結合端部は同軸ジャックと結合するように適合していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記結合端部は、BNCジャック、TNCジャック、Fコネクタジャック、WECO中型パッチジャック、RCAジャックのうちの1つと結合するように適合していることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記後プラグは、前記外側シェルの前記中空コア内に全体が嵌合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 前記後プラグは、前記外側シェルの外側に延びている後部を備えており、前記後部は、前記外側スリーブの内径よりも大きい直径を有しており、前記後プラグの前記後部と前記後キャップの前記内径とが干渉して嵌り合うことによって、前記後キャップを前記外側シェルに保持することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の同軸コネクタ。
- 同軸コネクタを組み立てる方法であって、
コネクタハウジングの中空コア内に絶縁体を挿入するステップと、
抵抗器の第1先端部を中心導体の第2端部に圧着するステップと、
前記抵抗器の第2先端部を、後プラグ内を延びるとともに、圧着スリーブを有する中心軸方向開口内を通って前記圧着スリーブまで延びるように配置するステップと、
前記絶縁体を貫通するように画成されている中心軸方向開口内に前記中心導体の第1端部を挿入して、もって、前記コネクタハウジングの第1端部と前記中心導体の前記第1端部とが結合端部を画成するステップと、
前記コネクタハウジングの第2端部を前記後プラグに係合させて、前記中心導体と前記後プラグとが協力して前記コネクタハウジングの前記中空コア内で軸方向に一直線に配置された前記抵抗器を保持するステップと、
前記抵抗器の前記第2先端部を前記後プラグに圧着するステップと、
から成る方法。 - 前記後プラグの前記圧着スリーブは、前記第2先端部の周囲に圧着されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記方法は、更に、前記抵抗器が前記コネクタハウジング内で軸方向に一直線に配置されることを確実にするために、前記抵抗器の前記第2端部を前記後プラグに圧着する前に、前記抵抗器の前記第2先端部に張力を加えるステップから成ることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記方法は、更に、前記第2先端部を前記後プラグに圧着した後、前記抵抗器の前記第2先端部を前記後プラグの外側端部と実質的に面一に切り取るステップから成ることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記方法は、更に、前記後プラグ及び反対側の前記コネクタハウジングの第2端部の周囲にエンドキャップを配置するステップから成ることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
