Description
図1に符号1で示した、以下に未加工部分1として示す、鋼から成る円筒状のロッド区分は、有利には材料42CrMo4又は38MnSi6から成っており、長手方向軸線9に対して直角に形成された端面2を有しており、この端面2は、例えば旋削加工工程により製造される。この端面2には、同様に旋削により周方向に延びる環状の切欠き3が、端面2の所定範囲に設けられ(製造ステップA)、前記切欠き3は、後にピストン10若しくはピストンクラウンに設けられる燃焼窪み6の窪み縁部6aを形成する。製造されるピストンタイプとピストンサイズとに関連して、この範囲は、未加工部分1の直径若しくは後のピストン定格直径の30〜90%までであってよい。この場合、切欠き3の深さは、製造されるピストンタイプに関連して、例えばピストン定格直径の5〜15%までであってよい。
Claims (6)
- ピストンクラウンに設けられた燃焼窪み(6)を備えた、内燃機関のためのピストン(10)又はピストンクラウンを製造する方法であって、鋼から成る円筒状の未加工部品(1)からピストン(10)又はピストンクラウンを成形し、前記円筒状の未加工部品(1)が、少なくとも1つの平坦な端面(2)を有しているようにし、該端面(2)を、前記未加工部品(1)の長手方向軸線(9)に対して直角に形成し、
A)端面(2)に周方向に延びる環状の切欠き(3)を形成し、
B)付加材料(4)を切欠き(3)に被覆し、
C)ステップ(A)及びステップ(B)の後に形成された未加工部品(1)をピストン未加工品(5)の形に鍛造加工し、
D)ピストン未加工品(5)を、内燃機関への組込み準備の整ったピストンの形に機械的に処理する、
ステップを有する方法において、
鍛造加工前に溶接によって、付加材料(4)と円筒状の未加工部分(1)との少なくとも部分的に摩擦接続的な金属結合を生ぜしめ、前記環状の切欠き(3)にこの切欠き(3)を越えて突き出す量の前記付加材料(4)を充填する、
ことを特徴とする、内燃機関のためのピストン又はピストンクラウンを製造する方法。 - CO2溶接、レーザ溶接又は電子ビーム溶接、摩擦溶接、爆発被覆により溶接を行う、請求項1記載の方法。
- 環状の切欠き(3)を、前記端面(2)の範囲に次のように位置決めされているように設ける、すなわち、前記切欠き(3)が、組込み準備の整ったピストン(10)の、燃焼窪み(6)の縁部範囲(6a)に位置しているように設ける、請求項1記載の方法。
- 42CrMo4又は38MnSi6材料又はAFP鋼から円筒状の未加工部品(1)を形成し、かつ450℃を越えた温度時に酸化被膜を形成しないか、又は酸化被膜を形成しない材料から付加材料を形成する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 弁用鋼X45CrSi9より成る耐酸化性の材料、又はニッケルベースの材料を付加材料に用いる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 燃焼窪みの縁部範囲(6a)を、該燃焼窪み(6)の周の一部を除いて付加材料(4)により形成する、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
