Description
本発明は使用済み芳香族アルキル化触媒の再活性化方法に関し、特にエチルベンゼン及びクメンの生成のための液相プロセスのアルキル化及びトランスアルキル化において使用した使用済み触媒に関するものである。
1の側面において、本発明はモレキュラーシーブを含んだ使用済み芳香族アルキル化またはトランスアルキル化触媒の再生方法であり、該方法は使用済み触媒と酸素含有気体を温度約120〜約600℃で接触させる工程、及び次に該触媒を水性溶媒と接触させる工程を含む。
(a)アルキル化可能な芳香族化合物及びアルキル化剤とモレキュラーシーブを含むアルキル化触媒をアルキル化条件の下、接触させる工程;
(b)前記アルキル化触媒が少なくとも部分的に失活された時に、前記アルキル化触媒と酸素含有気体を温度約120〜約600℃で接触させる工程;及びそれから
(c)工程(b)から得た触媒と水性溶媒を接触させる工程。
本発明は、モレキュラーシーブを含むアルキル化触媒の存在下、アルキル化可能な芳香族化合物とアルキル化剤を用いた液相アルキル化による、モノアルキル化芳香族化合物、特にエチルベンゼンまたはクメンの生成方法に関する。特に、本発明はアルキル化触媒が少なくとも部分的に失活した場合に、触媒を実験施設内での触媒再生工程に供する工程であって、失活アルキル化触媒を酸素含有気体と温度約120〜約600℃で接触させ、次にモノアルキル化選択性を損失することなく触媒を実質的に再活性化させるために水性溶媒と接触させる方法に関する。

プロピレンを用いたベンゼンのアルキル化はまず、65重量%のMCM−22結晶及び35重量%のアルミナを含む65/35押出し物として1/16”円筒形の押出し形状で調製したMCM−22触媒を用いて行った。1gの触媒をベンゼン(156g)及びプロピレン(28g)を含んだ混合物と一緒に十分に混合した等温オートクレーブ(Parr社)に充填した。反応を266°F(130℃)、300psig(2068kPa)で4時間の間行った。生成物の少量のサンプルを定期的に回収し、ガスクロマトグラフィーで分析した。触媒性能をプロピレン転化、及び100%プロピレン転化でのクメン選択性に基づいて運動活性率定数(kinetic activity rate constant)により評価した。表1に記載する。
次いで、そのサイクルの終わりにおいて市販クメン単位から取り除いた使用済みMCM−22触媒を用いて、プロピレンを用いたベンゼンアルキル化を行った。1gのこの使用済み触媒を実施例1に記載した手順に従うバッチ試験においてプロピレンを用いたベンゼンアルキル化に関して評価した。100%プロピレン転化におけるこの使用済み触媒の活性及びクメン選択性を表1に記載する。
市販のクメン反応器から取り除いた、実施例2から得た使用済みMCM−22触媒をそれからガス空間速度300hr−1、1000°F(538℃)で、12時間、気流中ex−situで再生させた。1gのこの空気再生触媒を実施例1に記載した手順に従うバッチ試験においてプロピレンを用いたベンゼンアルキル化について評価した。100%プロピレン転化におけるこの使用済み触媒の活性及びクメン選択性を表1に記載する。
80gの硝酸アンモニウム(1モル)を1リットルの蒸留水に溶解させることにより1.0モルの硝酸アンモニウム溶液を調製した。この溶液を硝酸アンモニウムが完全に溶解するまでかき混ぜた。実施例3から得た25gの市販クメン空気再生触媒を500ccフラスコに充填し、125mLの1モル硝酸アンモニウム溶液を次いでこのフラスコに加えた。該フラスコを1時間穏やかにかき混ぜながら放置した。次に押出し物をろ過により回収し、125mLの蒸留水で洗浄し、それからビーカーに加えた。この処理手順をもう一度繰り返した。2回目の洗浄に続いて、該押出し物をるつぼに移した。該るつぼをそれからオーブン内に置き、該押出し物を4時間、120℃で乾燥させた。該押出し物をそれから538℃、4時間の間十分な空気中で焼成させた。1gのこの硝酸アンモニウム洗浄触媒を実施例1に記載した手順に従うバッチ試験においてプロピレンを用いたベンゼンアルキル化について評価した。100%プロピレン転化におけるこの使用済み触媒の活性及びクメン選択性を表1に記載する。
実施例4の手順を繰り返した。ただし、硝酸アンモニウム溶液に代えて、30gの酢酸(0.5モル)を1リットルの蒸留水に溶解させて0.5モルの酢酸溶液を調製した。1gの焼成した、酢酸洗浄触媒を実施例1に記載した手順に従うバッチ試験においてプロピレンを用いたベンゼンアルキル化について評価した。100%プロピレン転化におけるこの使用済み触媒の活性及びクメン選択性を表1に記載する。
Claims (9)
- MCM−22、PSH−3、SSZ−25、MCM−36、MCM−49、MCM−56、フォージャサイト、モルデナイト及びゼオライトベータから選択されるモレキュラーシーブを含み、活性及びモノアルキル化芳香族化合物形成の選択性が減少した使用済み芳香族アルキル化またはトランスアルキル化触媒の再生方法であって、該方法は使用済み触媒と酸素含有気体を温度120〜600℃で接触させる工程、及び次いで該触媒と硝酸アンモニウム溶液、炭酸アンモニウム溶液、及び酢酸溶液から成る群より選択される水性溶媒とを接触させ、モノアルキル化芳香族化合物形成の選択性における実質的な損失を生じることなく活性が回復された再生アルキル化またはトランスアルキル化触媒を生成する工程を含む。
- 触媒と水性溶媒とを接触させる工程が温度15〜120℃、10分〜48時間の間で行う、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水性溶媒と接触させた後、触媒を温度25〜600℃、10分〜48時間の間焼成させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 芳香族化合物のアルキル化方法であって、以下を含む:
(a)アルキル化可能な芳香族化合物及びアルキル化剤をアルキル化条件下でMCM−22、PSH−3、SSZ−25、MCM−36、MCM−49、MCM−56、フォージャサイト、モルデナイト及びゼオライトベータから選択されるモレキュラーシーブを含むアルキル化触媒と接触させる工程;
(b)前記アルキル化触媒が少なくとも部分的に失活し、活性及びモノアルキル化芳香族化合物形成の選択性が減少したとき、前記アルキル化触媒と酸素含有気体とを温度120〜600℃で接触させる工程;及び次いで
(c)工程(b)から得た触媒と硝酸アンモニウム溶液、炭酸アンモニウム溶液及び酢酸溶液から成る群より選択される水性溶媒とを接触させ、モノアルキル化芳香族化合物形成の選択性における実質的な損失を生じることなく活性が回復された再生アルキル化またはトランスアルキル化触媒を生成する工程。 - 接触工程(a)を液相中で行う、請求項4に記載の方法。
- アルキル化剤が1〜5の炭素原子を有するアルキル化脂肪族基を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- アルキル化剤がエチレンまたはプロピレンであり、アルキル化可能な芳香族化合物がベンゼンである、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 触媒と水性溶媒を接触させる工程を温度15〜120℃、10分〜48時間で行う、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 工程(c)の後に、さらに温度25〜600℃、10分〜48時間で触媒を焼成させる工程を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
