Description
その製造方法に関する。
無機酸化物がシリカの場合には、例えばRHODIA社より市販されているTixosil 38A、Tixosil 38D、Tixosil 38X又はTixosil 365(いずれも商品名)が使用できる。
特にピロリン酸又は式H4P2O7の二リン酸、式H5P3O10の三リン酸、又は式Hn+2PnO3n+1で表されるポリリン酸、式HnPnO3nのメタリン酸が挙げられる。
・粒状又は粉末状の重合体
・本発明により得られた製品
・例えばペンタエリスリトール又はジペンタエリスリトールのような、ポリリン酸の作用で脱水して炭素を形成するポリアルコール
・例えばジシアンジアミド、メラミン、シアヌール酸メラミン、リン酸メラミンのような、溶融発泡重合体中の分散炭素により分解される膨張剤、
リン酸又はポリリン酸で含浸された無機酸化物/ポリアルコール/膨張剤の比率は、2/1/1から7/1/1である。好ましくは約3/1/1を用いる。
A−本発明により濃縮リン酸を含浸し次いで焼成する多孔質シリカの調製
実施例1
(本発明により濃縮リン酸を含浸し次いで焼成した多孔質シリカの調製)
使用した多孔質シリカは空孔容積3.2ml/gを有するRhodia社製Tixosil 38A(商品名)と称するシリカである。
使用した正リン酸はProlabo社製Normapur(商品名)ref.20624295と称する85%正リン酸(H3PO4)である(MH3PO4=98g/mol、d=1.7g/ml)。
実施例1の正リン酸を含浸したシリカに以下に述べる標準的な難燃試験を行った。
これらの結果はポリプロピレン試験片に対して得られた結果と比較した。結果は下記の表1に示す。
1)ポリプロピレン試験片の調製
単独のポリプロピレンを155℃で3分、200rpmの速度で混合した。次に実施例1で製造したH3PO4を含浸した18重量%(混合物全量に対する割合)のシリカを含有する粉末を、6重量%(混合物全量に対する割合)のペンタエリスリトール、6重量%(混合物全量に対する割合)のメラミンを導入し、混合を3分間続けた。
2)試験片の難燃性を決定するために2つの試験
二種の試験は試験片の難燃性を調べるために用いた。
・酸素指数、すなわち国際規格ISO−4589−2:1996(F)に記載された以下にLOIと呼ぶ指数による試験、及び
・着火源として小炎と接触する試験であり、NF企画ISO−1210:1992(F)に記載された以下に“UL94”と呼ぶ試験。
この割合が大きいほど材料は難燃性である。
Claims (13)
- (a)多孔質無機酸化物に充分量の濃縮正リン酸又はポリリン酸を乾式含浸させ、(b)次いで大気圧下に温度100−200℃において少なくとも3時間乾燥し、(c)更に温度200−500℃で少なくとも2時間焼成することよりなる、重合体用難燃剤の製造方法。
- 多孔質無機酸化物が少なくとも1ml/gの空孔容積を有する請求項1の方法。
- 多孔質無機酸化物が少なくとも3ml/gの空孔容積を有する請求項2の方法。
- 多孔質無機酸化物がシリカ、アルミナ、シリカ−アルミナ、ジルコニア、又は酸化チタンである請求項1−3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 多孔質無機酸化物がシリカである請求項4の方法。
- 前記充分量は、前記無機酸化物を最大限に含浸させる量、すなわちそれ以上は正リン酸又はポリリン酸を吸収させることができない容積である請求項1−5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリリン酸はピロリン酸又は二リン酸H4P2O7、三リン酸H5P3O10、又は式Hn+2PnO3n+1で表されるポリリン酸、式HnPnO3nで表されるメタリン酸、及びそれらの混合物より選択される請求項1−6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリリン酸は100よりも大きいH3PO4等量を有する請求項1−7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1−8のいずれか一項の方法により得られた、重合体用難燃剤。
- 重合体は熱硬化性重合体である請求項9の難燃剤。
- 重合体は熱可塑性重合体である請求項9の難燃剤。
- 熱可塑性重合体はポリオレフィンである請求項11の難燃剤。
- ポリオレフィンはポリプロピレンである請求項12の難燃剤。
