繊維の40-50 %は、スロットの大きさが16メッシュおよび28メッシュであるスクリーンを通過しない、
繊維の15-20 %は、スロットの大きさが16メッシュおよび28メッシュのスクリーンを通過するが、スロットの大きさが48メッシュおよび200メッシュであるスクリーンを通過しない、そして、
繊維の35-40 %は、スロットの大きさが48メッシュおよび200メッシュのスクリーンを通過する。すなわち、この繊維は、使用したすべてのスクリーン(200メッシュまで)を通過する。
したがって、得られた繊維パルプは、繊維の40〜50 %で平均繊維長が2.0 mmより長く、繊維の15〜20 %で平均繊維長が0.35 mmより長く、繊維の35〜40 %で平均繊維長が0.35 mmより短い。しかし、繊維分布は、上述のものと異なってもよい。

実施例1
本発明による塗工印刷用紙の製造時に、カレンダ試験を、OptiLoad(商標) カレンダを用いて行った。ニップ圧は500 kN/mであった。6ロールカレンダをサンプル1に用い、8ロールカレンダをサンプル2〜4に用いた。カレンダの温度は、サンプル2のカレンダ中は110℃、サンプル3のカレンダ中は125℃、そしてサンプル3のカレンダ中は140℃にカレンダがなるように調整した。サンプルについて測定した特性は表1に示す。
以下では、1つの繊維パルプ等級を示す。それから、本発明による印刷用紙を作ることができる。その繊維パルプ等級について、その特性は表5に示し、非配向シートの特性は表6に示す。これは、ラボラトリで作られた。
Claims (3)
- 機械パルプを含み、不透明度が少なくとも89 %、白色度が少なくとも65 %、表面粗さが4.5 μmを越えない塗工印刷用紙において、該用紙は、該紙の全繊維量の少なくとも90 重量%のサーモメカニカルパルプ(TMP)を含み、
該サーモメカニカルパルプは、Bauer-McNettスクリーンで規定したときに、繊維の40〜50 %は、スロットの大きさが16メッシュおよび28メッシュであるスクリーンを通過せず、繊維の15〜20 %は、前記16メッシュおよび28メッシュのスクリーンを通過するが、スロットの大きさが48メッシュおよび200メッシュであるスクリーンを通過せず、繊維の35〜40 %は、前記48メッシュおよび200メッシュのスクリーンを通過することを特徴とする塗工印刷用紙。 - 請求項1に記載の塗工印刷用紙において、該用紙は、該紙の全繊維量の少なくとも95 重量%の前記サーモメカニカルパルプ (TMP) を含むことを特徴とする塗工印刷用紙。
- 請求項1に記載の塗工印刷用紙において、該用紙は、全繊維量が前記サーモメカニカルパルプ (TMP)であることを特徴とする塗工印刷用紙。
