Description
図1は、本発明に係る実施の形態1の画像投写装置の構成を示す図である。画像投写装置300は、光源装置10、画像投写機構30を備えている。光源装置10は、主光源20とコンデンサレンズ13を備えている。
つぎに、図6を参照して本発明の実施の形態2について説明する。実施の形態2では、画像表示用スクリーン200内の所定の距離だけ互いに離れた位置に複数の拡散層を配置しておく。

Claims (3)
- 入射光を拡散させる光拡散層と、
前記光拡散層を挟持するよう形成された1対の電極と、
前記1対の電極に所定の電圧を印加する電圧印加手段と、
を備え、
前記光拡散層は、印加電圧と屈折率との関係としての光散乱特性が異なる少なくとも2種類の液晶分子を、印加電圧の変化に対して光散乱特性が変化しない高分子層中に複数分散させて構成され、
前記少なくとも2種類の液晶分子は、任意の1種類の液晶分子の屈折率が前記高分子層の屈折率と略等しくなる電圧を印加した場合の前記光拡散素子の光散乱の強さと、他の異なる種類の液晶分子の屈折率が前記高分子層の屈折率と略等しくなる電圧を印加した場合の前記光拡散素子の光散乱の強さとがいずれも略等しくなるような、印加電圧に対する屈折率特性をそれぞれ有する種類の異なる液晶分子を組み合わせて構成され、
前記電圧印加手段は、前記種類の異なる各液晶分子の屈折率と、前記高分子層の屈折率とが略同じ屈折率を示す複数の異なる電圧値を、周期的に前記1対の電極に印加し、
前記電圧印加手段が前記複数の異なる電圧値を周期的に前記1対の電極に印加することによって、前記光拡散層での時間あたりの光透過率の平均値を一定にさせつつ前記光拡散層で生じるスペックルパターンを時間的に変化させることを特徴とする光拡散素子。 - 画像光が投影されることにより画像を表示するスクリーンであって、請求項1に記載の光拡散素子を備えたことを特徴とするスクリーン。
- 照明光を出射する光源と、
前記光源からの照明光を略平行光束にして光軸上の所定の集光面に集光する集光部と、
前記集光面に集光された光を変調して拡大するとともに、拡大後の光を画像光として投影する画像投影部と、
前記画像投影部で投影される画像光を表示する請求項2に記載のスクリーンと、
を備えたことを特徴とする画像投写装置。
