Description
前記サイドリップの先端面と内周面との間の摺動部先端頂角の大きさを90度よりも大きくかつ110度以下の角度に設定し、
かつ、前記サイドリップの先端面はこれを前記内周面に対して斜め鈍角に交差する断面直線状に形成するとともに、前記相手部材との接触状態において、前記摺動部先端の更に外周側に前記先端面が位置する様にしたことを特徴とするものである。
図1は、本発明の第一実施例に係る密封装置1の要部断面を示している。この密封装置1は例えば自動車用車輪懸架装置におけるベアリング部にハブベアリング用シールとして用いられるものであって、以下のように構成されている。

Claims (1)
- ハブ側の相手部材(4)(9)の軸方向端面部(5a)(9a)または曲面部(9c)に摺動自在に密接する摺動部先端(6c)を備えたものであって、ベアリング外輪に嵌着される金属等剛材製の取付環(2)に加硫接着され、前記取付環(2)から前記軸方向端面部(5a)(9a)に向って外周側に伸び、前記軸方向端面部(5a)(9a)とその内周面(6b)(10b)とのなす角度が鋭角であるゴム状弾性材製のサイドリップ(6)(10)を有するハブベアリング用密封装置(1)において、
前記サイドリップ(6)(10)の先端面(6a)(10a)と前記内周面(6b)(10b)との間の摺動部先端頂角(θ3)(θ4)の大きさを90度よりも大きくかつ110度以下の角度に設定し、
かつ、前記サイドリップ(6)(10)の先端面(6a)(10a)はこれを内周面(6b)(10b)に対して斜め鈍角に交差する断面直線状に形成するとともに、前記相手部材(4)(9)との接触状態において、前記摺動部先端(6c)の更に外周側に前記先端面(6a)(10a)が位置する様にしたことを特徴とするハブベアリング用密封装置。
