Description
本発明は、多重送信多重受信アンテナ・アレイを用いた無線通信に関する、即ち、送信局及び受信局の両方がアンテナ素子のアレイを備える場合の無線通信に関する。所与の局のアンテナ素子を送信及び受信の両方のため用い得る場合、本明細書における「送信機」、「送信アンテナ」、「受信機」、及び「受信アンテナ」に対する言及は、それらがその動作中行使している機能に対する言及と解釈されるべきである。
データ伝送に関する無線通信システムの重要性は絶えず増大しつつあると考えられ、その範囲には、最大の意味で、例えば、音声又は他の音及び画像、並びに抽象的なディジタル信号が含まれると理解されるべきである。
本発明は、添付の特許請求の範囲に記載されているように多重送信多重受信アンテナ・アレイを用いた無線通信のための方法及び装置を提供する。
図面の図1は、N個の送信アンテナ素子の送信アンテナ・アレイ2を備える備える送信機局1とM個の受信アンテナ素子の受信アンテナ・アレイ4を備える受信機局3とを備える既知のマルチストリーム無線通信システムを示す。図1に示される例においては、N=M=2である。複数の別個のデータ・ストリームx1からxF(図1の例においてはF=2)は、送信アンテナ・アレイ2から受信アンテナ・アレイ4へ送信され、そしてそのデータ・ストリームは、それぞれの複素重み付け係数vn,fにより重み付けされる。なお、nはn番目の送信アンテナ素子であり、fは送信アンテナ・アレイに印加される前のf番目のデータ・ストリームである。別個のデータ・ストリームは、受信機局において、線形又は非線形受信機5で分離され且つ推定されて、検出された信号s1及びs2を生成する。
説明を簡潔にするため、本発明の好適な実施形態が、図2に、2つのデータ・ストリーム、4個の送信アンテナ及び2個の受信アンテナ(即ち、N=4、Nd=2、M=2)のケースに関して示されている。図2に示されるマルチストリーム無線通信システムは、2個の送信アンテナ素子の送信アンテナ・アレイ2を備える送信機局1と、2個の受信アンテナ素子の受信アンテナ・アレイ4を備える受信機局3を備える。線形又は非線形受信機5は、受信アンテナ・アレイ4で受信された信号を分離、復号、そして復調する。
Claims (4)
- 複数のN個の送信アンテナ素子の送信アンテナ・アレイを備える送信機手段(1)と複数のM個の受信アンテナ素子の受信アンテナ・アレイ(4)を備える受信機手段(3)との間の閉ループ・マルチストリーム無線通信方法であって、複数の別個のデータ・ストリーム(x1 〜x G )が、前記送信アンテナ・アレイから前記受信アンテナ・アレイに送信され、前記データ・ストリームは、前記送信アンテナ・アレイに印加される前にそれぞれの複素重み付けマトリックスにより重み付けされ、前記別個のデータ・ストリームが、前記受信機手段で分離され且つ推定される、前記方法において、
前記別個のデータ・ストリーム(x1 〜x G )を、前記送信アンテナ素子のそれぞれのサブグループ(6,7)に印加するステップを含み、
前記それぞれのサブグループ(6,7)のうちの少なくとも1つが、複数の前記送信アンテナ素子を備え、
前記サブグループのそれぞれが、少なくともNd個の送信アンテナ素子を備え、
ここで、Mは(N/Nd)に等しいかそれより大きく、
前記複素重み付けマトリックス(v1〜vn)が、送信アンテナ素子の前記それぞれのサブグループを含む、前記複数のN個の送信アンテナ素子の各々と前記複数のM個の受信アンテナ素子の各々との間で前記別個のデータ・ストリーム(x1〜xG)を送信するためのそれぞれの送信チャネル(hij)から得られ、
N d が2に等しいかそれより大きく、
前記複素重み付けマトリックスのそれぞれは、マトリックスH H Hの最大固有値に対応する固有ベクトルに実質的に等しいよう計算され、ここで、Hは、対応のデータ・ストリームが見る送信アンテナ素子(6,7)の前記それぞれのサブグループを含む等価送信チャネルのマトリックスであり、H H が、マトリックスHのエルミート変換である
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記サブグループのそれぞれのサブグループにおける前記送信アンテナ素子の数が、動作中に再構成可能である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行する送信機装置。
- 請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行する受信機装置。
