(4)さらに好ましくは、前記格納手段は、前記検出データの個別値と比較される個別用乗員判別しきい値をさらに格納し、前記判別手段は、演算時において、該総和値が該総和用乗員判別しきい値を超える場合であっても、少なくとも一つの該個別値が該個別用乗員判別しきい値を超えない場合は、該総和値が該総和用乗員判別しきい値を超える以前の判別状態を継続することを特徴とする構成とする方がよい。
まず、本実施形態の乗員検知装置の配置について説明する。図1に、本実施形態の乗員検知装置が配置されたシートの透過斜視図を示す。図に示すように、シートレール8は、アッパレール80とロワレール81とからなる。シートレール8は、車幅方向に並んで、二列配列されている。ロワレール81は、車両フロア(図略)に止着されている。アッパレール80は、ロワレール81に対し、前後方向にスライド可能である。シート(助手席)96は、アッパレール80と一体に、前後方向にスライド可能である。シート96のシートフレーム(図略)とアッパレール80との間には、荷重センサ20a〜20dが、介装されている。荷重センサ20aは、シート96座面の右前部分(以下、車両進行方向に対して左右を定義する)と、上下方向に対向する位置に配置されている。荷重センサ20bは、シート96座面の左前部分と、上下方向に対向する位置に配置されている。荷重センサ20cは、シート96座面の左後部分と、上下方向に対向する位置に配置されている。荷重センサ20dは、シート96座面の右後部分と、上下方向に対向する位置に配置されている。
本実施形態と第一実施形態との相違点は、乗員検知ECUに、総和用乗員判別しきい値のみならず個別用乗員判別しきい値が格納されている点である。したがって、ここでは相違点についてのみ説明する。
本実施形態と第二実施形態との相違点は、個別用乗員判別しきい値として、演算範囲の上限値が用いられている点である。したがって、ここでは相違点についてのみ説明する。
以上、本発明の乗員検知装置の実施の形態について説明した。しかしながら、実施の形態は上記形態に特に限定されるものではない。当業者が行いうる種々の変形的形態、改良的形態で実施することも可能である。
Claims (5)
- シートの荷重状態を所定の検出範囲内において検出する複数の荷重センサと、該荷重センサの検出データから該シートの乗員状態を判別する乗員検知ECUと、を備えてなる乗員検知装置であって、
前記乗員検知ECUは、
前記各荷重センサについて前記検出範囲を限定し且つ空席0点を基準として同幅に設定される演算範囲を格納する格納手段と、
前記検出データのうち前記格納手段に格納された前記演算範囲内に存在する該検出データの総和値を用いて前記シートの乗員状態を判別する判別手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする乗員検知装置。 - 前記格納手段によって格納される前記演算範囲は、複数の前記荷重センサ各々の荷重状態に対応できるように、少なくとも二種類設定されている請求項1に記載の乗員検知装置。
- 前記格納手段は、前記検出データの総和値と比較される少なくとも一つの総和用乗員判別しきい値をさらに格納し、
前記判別手段は、前記検出データのうち前記格納手段に格納された前記演算範囲内に存在する該検出データの総和値を前記総和用乗員判別しきい値と比較することにより前記シートの乗員状態を判別する請求項1または2に記載の乗員検知装置。 - 前記格納手段は、前記検出データの個別値と比較される個別用乗員判別しきい値をさらに格納し、
前記判別手段は、演算時において、該総和値が該総和用乗員判別しきい値を超える場合であっても、少なくとも一つの該個別値が該個別用乗員判別しきい値を超えない場合は、該総和値が該総和用乗員判別しきい値を超える以前の判別状態を継続することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の乗員検知装置。 - 前記格納手段によって格納される前記個別用乗員判別しきい値は、前記演算範囲の境界値である請求項4に記載の乗員検知装置。
