Description
本発明の受容層形成用ポリエステル樹脂を用いることにより、感度、離型性、耐環境性に優れた熱転写受像シートが得られる。
以下実施例により本発明を具体的に例示する。実施例中に単に部とあるのは重量部を示す。樹脂の分析、評価は次の方法により実施した。
テトラヒドロフランを溶離液としたウォーターズ社製ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)150cを用いて、カラム温度35℃、流量1ml/分にてGPC測定を行なった結果から計算して、ポリスチレン換算の測定値を得た。ただしカラムは昭和電工(株)shodex KF−802、804、806を用いた。
重クロロホルム溶媒中でヴァリアン社製核磁気共鳴分析計(NMR)ジェミニ−200を用いて、1H−NMR分析を行ってその積分比より決定した。
サンプル5mgをアルミニウム製サンプルパンに入れて密封し、セイコーインスツルメンツ(株)製示差走査熱量分析計DSC−220を用いて、200℃まで、昇温速度20℃/分にて測定し、ガラス転移温度以下のベースラインの延長線と遷移部における最大傾斜を示す接線との交点の温度で求めた。
サンプルを30℃の塩化カルシウム2水和物水溶液に浸漬し、塩化カルシウム濃度を変化させ、サンプルが浮き沈みしなくなった際の水溶液の比重を比重計で測定し、その値をもって樹脂比重とした。
温度計、撹拌機、リービッヒ冷却管を具備した反応容器にイソフタル酸63部、トリメリット酸0.7部、エチレングリコール18部、1,4−ブタンジオール28部、トリシクロデカンジメタノール33部、及びテトラブチルチタネート0.03部を仕込み、180〜220℃で180分間加熱し、エステル化反応を行った後、反応系を20分で5mmHgまで減圧し、この間260℃まで昇温した。更に系内を徐々に減圧し、10分後に0.3mmHg以下とし、260℃で重縮合反応を60分行った。得られたポリエステル樹脂(A)の特性を表1に示した。なお、表中の組成比はmol比である。
ポリエステル樹脂(A)と同様の方法により得られたポリエステル樹脂(B)〜(E)の特性を表1に示した。
ポリエステル樹脂(A)と同様の方法により得られたポリエステル樹脂(F)〜(I)の特性を表1に示した。
基材シートとして、厚さ150μmの合成紙YUPO FPG#150(王子油化製)を用いた。その一方の面に下記組成の受容層塗工液を乾燥時2.5g/m2になる割合でワイヤーバーにより塗布および乾燥(130℃、40秒)させて本発明の受像シートを得た。
・表1に示したポリエステル樹脂(固形分30%) 100重量部
・X−62−1421B(信越化学工業株式会社) 0.3重量部
・KF−615A(信越化学工業株式会社) 0.3重量部
・A−14(武田薬品工業株式会社) 1.5重量部
・S−CAT−52A(三共有機化学工業) 0.1重量部
・メチルエチルケトン/トルエン=1/1(重量比) 50重量部
なお、X−62−1421B(信越化学工業株式会社)は、シリコーン系離型剤である。
KF−615A(信越化学工業株式会社)はシリコーン系離型剤である。
A−14(武田薬品工業株式会社)はイソシアネート系硬化剤である。
S−CAT−52A(三共有機化学工業)はスズ系触媒である。
上記で得られた受像シートについて、感度、耐光性、耐指紋性、樹脂耐熱性について評価した結果を表2に示した。
耐光性はP−330(オリンパス光学工業社製)で諧調パターンを印画後、印画物を耐光性促進器(Ci−4000:アトラス社製)で400KJ照射し、照射前と照射後の画像の濃度変化および色差を色度計(マクベス濃度計RD−918;サカタインクス(株)製)、色彩色差計(CR321;ミノルタ(株)製)で下記基準で評価した。
耐光性:比較例1で得られた受像シートの耐光性を4点(基準)とし、それより良好なものは加点し、それより劣っているものは減点した。点数が大きいほど耐光性がより向上し、点数が小さいほど耐光性が低下していることを示している。
4点が現行品レベルの耐光性を示している。5点以上あれば耐光性の改善があるものである。イソフタル酸導入量が多いほど、脂環族ジオール導入量が多いほど、エチレングリコール量が少ないほど、耐光性が向上する傾向がわかる。比較例2における2点という低い点数は、ビスフェノールAエチレンオキサイド付加物導入により耐光性が低下したことが原因と考えられる。
離型性はP−330(オリンパス光学工業社製)で黒ベタ10枚連続印画後、下記基準で印画物を目視評価した;
○:トラブルなく印画可能(ハクリ音小さい)
△:印画可能であるがハクリ音が大きい
耐指紋性は、P−330(オリンパス光学工業社製)でハーフベタ画像を印画後、20人に印画部に指紋を押圧してもらい、印画部の色が抜けるのに要する日数を比較し、以下のようにランク付けした。「△」以上あれば実用上問題ない。
◎:1週間を超える
○:3日〜1週間
△:1日〜2日
受容層耐熱性はP−330(オリンパス光学工業社製)で黒ベタ印画後、離型性での目視評価と同様の基準に、さらに受容層の動的粘弾性を加味し、以下のように評価しランク付けした;
○:トラブルなく印画可能
△:印画可能であるがハクリ音が大きい
Claims (3)
- アセタール樹脂をバインダーとして含む熱転写シートと重ね合わせて用いる熱転写受像シートの受容層形成用ポリエステル樹脂であって、
酸成分として、イソフタル酸が70mol%以上、テレフタル酸が30mol%以下からなり、ジオール成分として、脂環族構造を有するジオールが30mol%以上、エチレングリコールが30mol%以下からなり、ガラス転移温度が50℃以上65℃以下、比重が1.24以上1.35以下、数平均分子量が10000以上50000以下である熱転写受像シートの受容層形成用ポリエステル樹脂。 - 脂環族構造を有するジオールが、1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールおよび/またはトリシクロデカンジメタノールである請求項1に記載の熱転写受像シートの受容層形成用ポリエステル樹脂。
- 基材シートの少なくとも一方の面に、一種類以上の熱可塑性樹脂を含有してなる受容層を形成した熱転写受像シートにおいて、熱可塑性樹脂に請求項1又は2に記載のポリエステル樹脂を用いたことを特徴とする熱転写受像シート。
