Abstract

Se describe un poliol de poliéster aromático que tiene una funcionalidad nominal de al menos aproximadamente 2 que es producido a partir de la reacción de esterificación de una composición basada en ftalato que contiene menos de 50% mol de ácido orto-ftálico o anhídrido ftálico, con un material de hidroxilo que contiene al menos 20% mol de al menos un diol alifático ramificado, y opcionalmente transesterificado con al menos un material hidrofóbico. El poliol de poliéster tiene estabilidad de vida de anaquel mejorada como es demostrado por el poliol de poliéster que permanece claro y homogéneo por al menos 6 meses cuando es almacenado a temperatura ambiente.
