Claims (10)
- カラーフィルターが薄膜トランジスタ・アレイ基板に形成される液晶表示装置であって、
当該液晶表示装置全体として表示に寄与する領域からなる有効表示領域と、
前記有効表示領域の周囲に配置される遮光領域と、
前記遮光領域の一辺と隣接し、複数の金属配線を含み、前記有効表示領域における複数の配線と電気的に接続する配線領域と、
前記配線領域と隣接し、複数のリード線を含み、前記配線領域における複数の金属配線と電気的に接続するリード線結合領域と、
前記遮光領域と前記配線領域に形成され、前記遮光領域において光線の漏れを防止し、前記配線領域において前記金属配線の露出を防止する保護層と
を有する
液晶表示装置。 - 前記保護層は、防水性を有する非導電性の樹脂層からなる
請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記保護層は、前記リード線結合領域にも形成され、前記リード線同士を絶縁し、
前記樹脂層の厚さは、0.5μm〜3μmの範囲にあり、かつ、前記リード線の高さより小さい
請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - カラーフィルターが薄膜トランジスタ・アレイ基板に形成される液晶表示装置であって、
当該液晶表示装置全体として表示に寄与する領域からなる有効表示領域と、
前記有効表示領域の周囲に配置される遮光領域と、
前記遮光領域の一辺と隣接し、複数の金属配線を含み、前記有効表示領域における複数の配線と電気的に接続する配線領域と、
前記配線領域と隣接し、複数のリード線を含み、前記配線領域における複数の金属配線と電気的に接続するリード線結合領域と、
前記有効表示領域と前記配線領域に形成され、前記配線領域において前記金属配線の露出を防止するカラーフィルター層と
を有する
液晶表示装置。 - 前記カラーフィルター層は、前記リード線結合領域にも形成され、前記リード線同士を絶縁する
請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記有効表示領域或いは前記リード線結合領域に形成された前記カラーフィルター層は、赤色フィルター層、緑色フィルター層、及び青色フィルター層のいずれか、又は、これらの組み合わせからなり、
前記カラーフィルター層の厚さは、0.5μm〜3μmの範囲にあり、かつ、前記リード線の高さより小さい
請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。 - カラーフィルターが薄膜トランジスタ・アレイ基板に形成される液晶表示装置であって、
当該液晶表示装置全体として表示に寄与する領域からなる有効表示領域と、
前記有効表示領域の周囲に配置される遮光領域と、
前記遮光領域の一辺と隣接し、複数の金属配線を含み、前記有効表示領域における複数の配線と電気的に接続する配線領域と、
前記配線領域と隣接し、複数のリード線を含み、前記配線領域における複数の金属配線と電気的に接続するリード線結合領域と、
前記遮光領域と前記リード線結合領域に形成され、前記遮光領域において光線の漏れを防止し、前記リード線結合領域において前記リード配線同士を絶縁する保護層と
を有する

前記配線領域と隣接し、複数のリード線を含み、前記配線領域における複数の金属配線と電気的に接続するリード線結合領域と、
前記有効表示領域と前記リード線結合領域に形成され、前記リード線結合領域において前記リード配線同士を絶縁するカラーフィルター層と
を有する
液晶表示装置。 - 前記リード線結合領域に形成された前記カラーフィルター層は、赤色フィルター層、緑色フィルター層、及び青色フィルター層のいずれか、又は、これらの組み合わせからなり、
前記カラーフィルター層の厚さは、0.5μm〜3μmの範囲にあり、かつ、前記リード線の高さより小さい
