Description
ベンジルアルコール中の4,5−ジクロロ−2−オクチル−3−イソチアゾロンの50重量%溶液が、50mL/分の供給速度において配列されたスリット形状インターデジタルマイクロミキサーに供給され、600mL/分の供給速度においてマイクロミキサーに供給される水と混合される。この水は界面活性剤を含まない。生じたエマルションはマイクロミキサーを出て、50,000ガロン(12,500リットル)の冷却塔中の冷却水に直接投与され、そこで冷却水全体に有効に分配され、再循環される。約20分後に、冷却水中のイソチアゾロン濃度は3ppmの所望の濃度に達し、エマルションの供給は停止される。藻類の有効な抑制が提供され、イソチアゾロンは殺微生物マイクロエマルション中における界面活性剤の存在により引き起こされる望ましくない発泡のリスクを伴わず循環される。集束マイクロミキサーもまた、上述のマイクロミキサーと比較して同様の結果を生じる。
10,000リットルのパルプスラリー槽は、平均6,600リットル/分の連続処理量を有している。ベンジルアルコール中の4,5−ジクロロ−2−オクチル−3−イソチアゾロンの50重量%溶液が、56mL/分の供給速度において配列されたスリット形状インターデジタルマイクロミキサーに供給され、600mL/分の供給速度においてマイクロミキサーに供給される水と混合される。この水は界面活性剤を含まない。生じたエマルションは、マイクロミキサーを出てパルプスラリー槽中の水に直接チャージされ、そこで槽の水全体に有効に分配され、再循環される。イソチアゾロンは、パルプスラリー槽中で処理されるパルプから調製される紙において有効な防カビ性を提供する。集束マイクロミキサーもまた、上述のマイクロミキサーと比較して同様の結果を生じる。

Claims (7)
- (a)水と、殺生物剤、腐食防止剤、農薬、スケール防止組成物、アクリルポリマーおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される1以上の水に不溶な活性成分の水性ディスパーションとをマイクロミキサーでミキシングしてエマルション(当該エマルションは界面活性剤、補助界面活性剤、乳化剤および安定剤を含まない)を形成する工程;および
(b)該エマルションを直接水性系に投与する工程
を含む、水性系を処理する方法。 - エマルションが界面活性剤および有機溶媒を含まない請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水性系が1以上の殺生物剤を含むマイクロエマルションで処理される請求項1に記載の方法。
- マイクロエマルションが2−オクチル−3−イソチアゾロンおよび4,5−ジクロロ−2−オクチル−3−イソチアゾロンからなる群から選択される1以上のイソチアゾロンを含む請求項3に記載の方法。
- 水性系が水処理ユニット、再循環冷却ユニット、冷却源として蒸発を利用する開放再循環冷却ユニット、閉鎖ループ型冷却ユニット、熱交換ユニット、反応器、液体の貯蔵および取り扱いに使用される装置、ボイラーおよび関連する水蒸気発生ユニット、ラジエーター、フラッシュ蒸発ユニット、冷凍ユニット、逆浸透装置、ガス洗浄ユニット、溶鉱炉、紙およびパルプ加工装置、砂糖濃縮ユニット、蒸気発電所、地熱ユニット、核冷却ユニット、食品および飲料加工装置、プール再循環ユニット、採鉱巡回路、閉鎖ループ型加熱ユニット、例えば掘削、ボーリング、粉砕、リーミング、引抜き、ブローチング、ターニング、カッティング、ソウイング、研削、ねじ切り、形削り、スピニングおよびローリングの操作に使用される切削液、作動油、冷却液、油生産ユニットおよび掘削液からなる群から選択される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 水性系からエマルションを再生利用する方法であって、
(a)水と、殺生物剤、腐食防止剤、農薬、スケール防止組成物、アクリルポリマーおよびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される1以上の水に不溶な活性成分の水性ディスパーションとをマイクロミキサーでミキシングしてエマルション(当該エマルションは界面活性剤、補助界面活性剤、乳化剤および安定剤を含まない)を形成する工程;
(b)水性系に該エマルションを直接投与する工程;および
(c)周期的間隔、不規則な間隔および連続から選択される時間間隔において水性系の一部をマイクロミキシングする工程;
を含み、これにより投与されたエマルションの一部を水性系に戻して再生利用する前記方法。 - 水性系が1以上のイソチアゾロンを含むマイクロエマルションで処理され、該マイクロエマルションが追加の界面活性剤を含まない請求項6に記載の方法。
