Description
この実施の形態に係る空気調和機は、図1の外観斜視図に示すように、横長箱型形状に形成された壁掛型空気調和機の室内ユニットである。また、この室内ユニットは、図2の平断面図に示すように、奥行き寸法が薄くなるように形成されており、本体ケーシング1内に室内ファンとしてのターボファン2と、室内空気を冷却又は加熱する熱交換器4とが収納されている。
また、この空気調和機では、ターボファン2のファン吸込口29の前面に室内空気を吸い込む空気吸込口12を有し、ターボファン2の吹出側に熱交換器4を配置し、この熱交換器4の下流側に室内へ空気を吹き出す空気吹出口13を配置したものとしているので、熱交換器4の前後方向の寸法を小さくすることにより、空気調和機の前後方向の外形寸法を小さくすることが可能となる。また、ターボファン2のファン吹出口30における羽根高さ方向の風速分布が均一化されて、熱交換器4の風速分布が改善される。その結果、熱交換器4の熱交換効率が改善されるとともに機内抵抗が低減され、空気調和機のエネルギー効率が改善される。
(1)上記実施の形態においては、羽根28を前述の特許文献1に記載の羽根と同様のものとしたが、これに限られるものではない。例えば、特許文献1において従来技術として紹介されているような、羽根28の前縁部及び後縁部がそれぞれ主板25及びシュラウド27に直交する二次元形状としたものに対しても、本発明は応用することができる。
Claims (5)
- モータの回転軸を固定するハブと、ハブの外周側に形成された主板と、主板に対向配置されて気体流路を形成するシュラウドと、これら主板とシュラウドとの間に配置された複数枚の羽根と、シュラウドの吸入側に配置されたベルマウスとを有し、前記シュラウドは、ファン運転時にシュラウド裏面に沿ってシュラウドの中心側から外周側に向かう空気流を形成する複数のリブ状突部がシュラウド裏面に形成され、前記シュラウド裏面のリブ状突部は、羽根のシュラウド側翼素のキャンバー線と略同一の傾きに形成されるとともに、シュラウド裏面全周にわたり等間隔に形成され、前記シュラウド裏面のリブ状突部のピッチは、羽根のピッチより小さく、前記シュラウド裏面のリブ状突部の高さは、略シュラウドを形成する板厚と同程度とすることを特徴とする遠心ファン。
- 前記シュラウド裏面のリブ状突部は、シュラウド裏面から垂直に立ち上がる回転方向側の側面と、同様に立ち上がる反回転側の側面と、これら両側面の先端間を接続する先端面とを有し、先端面と回転方向側の側面とは略直交状に連結され、先端面と反回転方向側の側面とは曲面状に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の遠心ファン。
- 請求項1又は2記載の遠心ファンを搭載したことを特徴とする空気調和機。
- 前記遠心ファンのファン吸込口の前面に室内空気を吸い込む空気吸込口を有し、前記遠心ファンの吹出側に熱交換器を配置し、この熱交換器の下流側に室内へ空気を吹き出す空気吹出口を配置したことを特徴とする請求項3記載の空気調和機。
- 前記遠心ファンは、ターボファンであることを特徴とする請求項3又は4記載の空気調和機。
